Well, evidently, I made the mistake of buying something at Macy's
and updating my information yesterday.  Today, I've gotten THREE CALLS
from this number at: 845am, 5:56pm and 7:06pm.  Wow, I'm cutting up my
Macy's charge RIGHT NOW!   I'll be calling Macy's to "update" my information
again, with a new number that doesn't exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just returned from a weekend away to have 13 calls from this number on my land line , with no message left. What's up??

We use Vonage for our landline service, but only give out our Google Voice number. No one---not even my husband has that number so when someone calls this number such as 513-754-9841 we know automatically NOT TO ANSWER because it is a stranger, a scam or, most likely a nuisance call. In this case, the caller id said OHIO, Neither of us know anyone in Ohio nor have we ever had a Macy's credit card.
If these mofos somehow guess our Google Voice number we can block them and they can call till HELL freezes over, but they'll never get through. These sort of bottom-feeding pesky parasites should be put in jail for criminal harassment which is probably why they outsource much of this unsavoury activity to foreign countries like India.

I would advise everyone to get a Google Voice account. It's free and incredibly useful.

I am constantly getting calls from this number on my cell phone. I don't recognize it so I don't answer however they never leave a voicemail and the call rings more than 3 times. The last time this number called me was an hour ago and I did get a short unprofessional voicemail. It was a girl and she mumbled something then a pause and then a hello and hung up. I'm confused and have no Idea who this is or what they want with me. I do have a Macy's card with a balance on it however They do not have my cell number that I recieve these calls on and the calls never identify themselves as Macy's or anyone else for that matter.

Thanks for the info, had no idea who was calling daily and I don't even have a Macy's card. SO ANNOYING!

I will definitely use this website next time I get a call from an unknown number - I never pick them up but then I'll be wondering who it was - now I'll be able to know :)

This number calls me 6-9 times a day asking me if I want to pay my Macy's bill. I say no and hang up, but they call again. I am not past due so I know that this must be somekind of mistake on May's part or a scam. Either way, I am not giving them my info over the phone. The calls are very annoying, STOP IT NOW.

I got several calls from this number every day over the course of three days when I was never available to take the call. No voicemail was ever left, but I was able to answer today. The woman on the line didn't specify who she was, nor did I ask, but she asked to speak with a woman...Jackie something. I informed her that she had the wrong number, and that was that. No more calls from them so far.

That's probably what happened to me - this Jackie person gave them a number she thought didn't exist, but ended up being my number so that I could get bugged by their company. Perhaps when you open a credit account and are bothered by the calls, you should ask them to contact you by email or post or close your account. Don't inconvenience others with your problems.

I get about 8 calls a day at home and now they have just started calling my cell phone. Both numbers are with the do not call registry so have no idea why they call.

Get calls from this number on the average of 7-8 times a day. Would like to pull the plug on this ASAP!!

I'm been getting calls from this number. (513) 754-9841. At first I never answer the phone, because I don’t know the number. Then after a month I picked up and a guy with strong accent told me that I got the call, because either I have a MACYS of BLOOMINGDALES account and they were try to reach me. I have a MACYS one but; immediately was suspicious because is zero balance. He told me he needs to check in the system the reason why they call me and MACYS Account #.was needed.
I did not give it to him, he insisted and I told him if you I gave you my address you will find me in the system.
I gave him the address and after that he said “ No found in the system, so we going to need to social security number”  I immediately hang up.  They still calling almost everyday,
DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFO.   if anybody know were to report this people please, let me know,

I do have a Macy's Account and it was past due when I was getting calls from this number... but every time I picked it up, no one was there!  If it is a legitimate call from Macy's, then it sounds like they're having technical problems with their call service.

To make it worse, I live in Hawaii so I get calls at 3 or 4 in the morning from this number.  9-10am in Ohio would be 3-4am in Hawaii, so I guess they're not bothering to check my address before they call me.

THIS IS A SCAM!!! What can we do, as a group? Contact our State Attorney General's Office? Definately contact Macy's and let them know there's a SCAM in THEIR name!!!

The ONE time of probably 50 calls from this number that I did pick up, some guy w/a heavy accent was an &*^%%$*&@ and kept pressing and pressing that I needed to make a payment on my account.  I got suspicious because I knew I had a -0- balance - told him I'd contact Macy's myself on Monday.  Now, a week later, the calls have begun.

THEY NEED TO BE BUSTED!!! I hate how often we have to fine tooth comb stupid scammers!!!

They've called 3 times in the past month looking for a person who I have never met and don't know. The first two times I called back and gave them the correct number which I looked up in Google, now I'm going to report them for harassment.

I received 2 calls today.  I have a Macy's card but it is paid in full.  I have registered my number with DONOTCALL.gov, but I think that is for telemarketers only.  If the caller has "business" with you, unfortunately they can't be blocked by the govt.  (as of now).  Its getting to the point where you can't even pick up the phone anymore unless you know the number, which is a shame.  I'm guessing that Macy's, being in financial trouble because of the economy, has outsourced their collections and "sold" information on it's customers.  Just a hunch...

Received a few calls from these guys this weekend.  I do not, have not, nor will ever have a credit card with Macy's.  When asked why I was getting calls, the rep indicated that my phone number was linked to someone else's account....a phone number I have been using for 12 years running.  I asked him what other information they had about me; he said none.  I asked him what the balance was.  He wouldn't tell me and indicated they don't share that info with anyone else but the spouse or individual.  Suspicious I have now placed a freeze on my account with the credit reporting agencies and have requested credit history reports.
