We receive calls from this number several times day and night. No message left. Once I did pick up and must have startled the caller. Female asking for someone, told her no one here by that name, do not call again and take us off the list.
Calls continue to this day.

I too have been receiving calls. Normally, I don't answer calls from an out of state area code (513 in this case) but after many calls and no messages left, I decided to answer today. Turns out the number belongs to Macy's debt collector called MCCS and located in India.
When I asked questions, the caller actually hung up on me as did the next person when I called the number back. I used no foul language or anything that be construed as untoward. Before hanging up the young lady stated that she would continue to call until she can talk to my wife. That isn't going to happen because my wife is ill, one reason why frequent calls to the house are an unwelcome imposition.
I would call on anyone with this problem, to please write me at the following email address: jansteen55@yahoo.com and see whether or not I can get enough people together to file a collective consumer complaint against MCCS, but essentially Macy, so that the company can start putting a different and more palatable (to consumers) practice in place to collect debt or advise people they are late on their payment.
I can't believe a reputable company such as Macy's uses a company that is very close to abusing the very consumers that give Macy it's reason to exist (raison d'etre).
So write me, and we'll see how many people we can get together to address this issue once and for all.

By the way, I did file an FCC complaint on this number because they kept calling and leaving no messages, so how was I to know the caller's identity?
Is this the new Macy's?

They have called me everyday for a month, and will not stop, I answer it and then they keep me on the line attempting to write down their name and number,  I instructed for them to stop last week, and they continue

As I look at others comments here, I see this has been going on for over 2 years. I only started getting this one recently.  I never pick up these calls but finally I wanted to see what the heck it was. And like so many others there was no answer the one time I  picked up.  This  call comes in for me about six times a day as well. Sometimes twice in a row.  Many of these callls are scams, or just people with reversed numbers in their records.  But they just keep calling.  This number will be blocked on my phone from now on. But I am surprised someone has not had them shut down, since this has been going on for  so long, and seems so widespread.

Next call I get I am going to use my Indian accent and pretend I am a collection agency for Macy's. I think it's about time someone had some fun at their expense. Believe me, my accent is good as I have Indian friends who cannot tell the difference. Let's just see how long I can keep them on the line for.

Much like all of you, I too have been receiving these calls every day for some time now. They never leave a message so who's to say what they want however once I call them all bets are off and it's game on Punjab!!! LOL!!!'

Don't f..n understand, they been callin my house for several days now, finally answer them, then they ask if they can talk to my Ex Husband wife. Are you serious?

SCAM- dont do payments by phone.

You may want to contact your attorney general. Take pics of the caller ID each time they call. This could start a class action lawsuit if everyone would pull together.

called wanting money, employee id #6214

Just got a call from this number and they finally spoke up.  Her name was Rosa calling about an outstanding bill for Macy's.  Her english was horrible and I just assumed it was a scam and hung up on her.  Went online and checked my account and sure enough I did miss a payment on my card because they had a bad address.  So no it is not a fraud but I feel bad that I was rude and hung up on her, she really was doing her job.

I do not want calls from this number any more.....Please stop these calls

I receive numerous calls per day from this phone number and when I called back they claimed to be Macys credit operations.  I dont even have a Macys account or a Macys store near my address for 50miles!

I had assumed this !! I would like to report them! The way they asked "when" I was going to pay online sounded very fishy to me! Who can I report this too!!

I just hung up on these people after being asked what was stopping me from making a payment over the phone. My mom takes care of half of my bills since I have joined the navy so I had to make sure it was a legitimate call for a payment. I stopped myself from doing this over the phone when I realized the woman on the phone claiming her name was Sophia Akino, said that I had to pay a minimum payment of 75 dollars for my Macy's credit card that had a balance of 106 dollars? I still haven't gotten a hold of my mom but from what everyone else is posting, I'm glad I didn't fall for this scam.

Latest post I saw was from Sept. Just got a call on landline ( hung up) and cell. Couldn't even understand the woman. Heard Macys and that was about it that I could comprehend. Told her I was just checking the validity of her number and how I knew she was a scam. Told her to check the DO NOT CALL list - which I believe is useless - and I was reporting this number and remove me from their list.

This number calls me about 5 times a day and supposedly this number is a part of Macy's and has very important account information. They say your payment is overdue however it's not true and they just want you to hand over your credit card info!!!

This seems to be a LEGITIMATE call from Macys credit card service. I was very leery after reading the comments here, but I finally answered, intending to chew them out.

However, they knew the balance on my account, and after I told them I had already scheduled a payment online, they told me the amount that payment was scheduled for. I don't see how this could actually be a scam. They never asked for my card number or to make a payment.

She also explained their system has an autodialer which is why I kept getting calls at various times.
