Just got a call, 12:55 PM. So can anything be done?

Listen, I am an Iowa State Universty Grad.  This call comes from Ames Iowa.  Get off my back or I will pursue.  I am 72 and have had a Doctorate for over 4 decades, and I am relentless.  Call me once more and you are in trouble.  jak

This outfit called, I knew from the ID ("Dexter, IA") that it was garbage but I wanted to see what kind. Tape told me this was a "final notice" about lowering my credit card rates, press 1 for details. I pressed 1 and let it ring. About twenty times, then I hung up.

The only purpose of government is to protect its citizens. They failed on September 11, and they've consistently failed in more minor ways, including the Do Not Call farce. For the middle class pays 40% of our income while the rich and the welfare queens pay nothing. Vote Tea Party or Libertarian or anyone with guts to put an end to this stuff.

I keep getting calls from this number. They never leave a message. When I call back a recording states that the number has been disconnected.

John, leaving threatening notes here does nothing.  This is not the company calling you, it's people who have gotten calls from them.  We're in the same boat you are.

People... the callers are using spoofed (that means FAKE) numbers. The numbers at one time did belong to a legitimate business. The callers are probably not even in this country.  If you do answer one of these calls always ask for a number where you can call them back. A fake site will never give you one.

Same here.  It's annoying to say the least.  I blocked the calls from this number but evidently they have more phones to dial from.  When I call the number back, a message comes on saying it's a marketing service but no one comes on the line.  The message keeps playing back.

This number keeps calling and hangs up when the answering machine picks up.  Caller ID shows Unknown Name.

I got a call from this number and when I called the phone company about the number on the caller ID they told me that companies can pick whatever they want their caller ID to be the phone companies cant regulate that unless its obscene.  And with internet phone/skype type services they cant regulate that at all so the DoNotCall list is totally worthless in that case because they cant regulate who's calling.  

They also told me to flood the FCC  with complaints if anything is to be done about it

and that sites like this are being monitored by the scamming b*****ds so dont put any of your "real" info on here or other sites,  use a "screen" name.  

Use a call blocking app on your cell phones as well as one on the home phone, if the home one gets full rotate the numbers in and out

Same here. I don't answer calls I don't know who it's from.  Got one this morning.

your credit card account - to lower your interest rate to press some number. I got the same message with area code 202 number. It is a big scam. We need help from the government.

They called no message left.

They called me this morning. Had it on the caller ID.
