Number called at 830 at night and then didnt leave a message when I didnt answer before VM kicked in (wasnt by the phone).  Not a number I know. Seeing the other info on here I know why the call came but the last time I talked to them I told them my ex-husband has been court ordered to pay this in the divorce and since I am not working and he isnt paying support I just dont have anything to send them.  They tried to cooerce me into making a payment plan that I KNOW I cant pay because I dont have anything extra to send them.  I finally got tired of being bullied and hung up on them.  I get calls from another number 3-5x a day and that number is already on call reject and now this number will be also.  Crap with the ex is annoying enough without being harassed multiple times a day on top of it.

This stupid collection agency does not care that they are calling people who owe nothing. They call old old numbers that do not even belong to person they are looking for. Stop calling old numbers and harrassing people who owe nothing.

I am very over extended and on a fixed income.  They want me to stop paying my bills so that I can pay this off.  I will be homeless.

You don't have to put up with harassment. It's against the law (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). You can also send them a written notice not to contact you anymore and they have to, by law, leave you alone. If they start cussing or yelling or threatening, you can sue them. Also, they can't garnish your wages or take money from your bank account unless you are sued and a judgment is entered against you, nor can they even threaten to do so. If you can, record their calls.

If you sent a written request to cease and desist and she is still calling, she is in violation of the FDCPA. This is true even if you legitimately owe the money. Collectors work on commission and will take advantage of people who don't know their rights. Often, they will break the law because most people don't realize they don't have to put up with their tactics and, when an agency occasionally gets sued, they just consider it the cost of doing business.

No, if you cant pay the best thing to do is call them up and ask if they have a hardship program to put you on.

I get a call on my cell from 540-772-7800 every day for the last three weeks.  I don't answer.  Annoying ! !

Collection agency. Kept calling every day even though I explained I wasn't the person they were looking for. Demanded my SSN and other personal information.

I finally just changed my number. My carrier charged me 15$ to do it. Well worth the money to get rid of the scum.

Called and asked for my brother (who he thought i was married to). He had my brother's name and had my previous number, but he thought it was my brother's. He said the call was about "personal business".

Keeps calling once a day for last several weeks. Never leaves a message. Have this number blocked in Call Control
