First called with blocked ID. Then later called from this number and asked for some "Robert ...."  not my name.

I don;t answer creditor's calls. Let them leave a message then delete it.

No they can’t do shot if you are making an attempt to pay and not just a buck a month they have to accept it they can charge you interest though

This is not a scam, at least in my case it isn’t.  I owe on a credit card, but I lost my job & hubby had to take a demotion or risk losing his job, so I don’t have any money.  We are using our overdraft protection to get through each week until my unemployment check and his paycheck come in.  I’m applying and interviewing everywhere but haven’t had an offer yet.  I told them all this, offered to prove it all in writing, told them I couldn’t make their $50/mo payment they wanted and understood they would have to take the next step - legal action.  However, when I asked them what that entailed, they couldn’t answer me.  Also, they had me on the phone for an hour - 3 people - before I finally hung up saying “don’t call me anymore, have a good night”.  That’s was two days ago. Guess who just called me??   Ugh.

"This is not a scam"?  Yet you mentioned several violations of the FDCPA in your post.  I see on page 6 that I posted everything you should have read so that you don't end up putting the words "crime victim" behind your name.

This is the third time this number has called me asking to talk to Michael.  I stated that Michael does not live here but they keep calling back.  I would like the calls to stop.

Have you considered blocking the number?

Idk who they are..they call at least twice a day..even with auto reject!  While most of us do pay our bills..its still no reason for them to be rude..its not going to get them too far!

This isnt how a ligit business would run!  How do they not even know your name  or your address if they were for real?
