I worded it incorrectly and stand humbly corrected and I thank you. It sickens me how junk debt buyers will grab up old, out of SOL debts for pennies on the dollar and just fire up the phone lines hoping to make a hit to collect.

It is not illegal to attempt to collect a debt that is past SOL.  It is illegal to threaten lawsuits or to file a lawsuit once the Statute of Limitations has passed.

Very nice man looking for someone with the same name but wrong address, birth year, and last four of social. Said they would take my phone number off the account. We shall see, but I was fortunate that my experience was fairly positive (so far, anyway).

This outfit is known to be  very sketchy and also violates the FDCPA every chance they get - for example, filing lawsuits even though the SOL for doing so has long passed!

This company says my wife was in default on braces that were financed. They said that the loan company sold our account to another company who is giving it to a lawyer. They said they have sent us letters and other documents. None of which I have never seen.

Called me at 6:24  A.M. Whomever it is did not leave a message. I will be locking this number as it pisses me off to be woken up in the morning by scammers!

They say I own money and they keep calling and calling

why waste even a second talking to these scumbags ?...if you have a cell, remember the area code, don't answer then use call block...if a land line, hang up the instant you know it's a collector..."v" is why it's a total waste of your time....collectors are several notches below amoebas on the scavenger scale.

I always talk to them for the simple reason that once I do it will initiate my rights under the law. Then they have to follow the law and when they do not I can sue them and make them pay me.

First, why is this companying calling and mailing letters to my daughter when Take Charge America Debt Management she’s making on time payments to Care Credit every month. Several websites is reporting this company as a phishing scam? Do you really expect people to believe this is a legitimate company?

Do you really expect the person you're replying to to see your response when they posted 10 years ago?!

This is one of the numbers used by the same person, Brian, saying he's with Synchrony Financial and calling regarding a debt my daughter owes which I co-signed on.  He keeps pushing me for info, which I know never to give to someone over the phone whom I haven't contacted, and claimed my daughter hadn't made her payments.  My daughter, when I questioned her, said she had. My daughter and I contacted Synchrony.   She had been making the payments, had confirmation numbers for each payment, and her balance was only a fraction of what this Brian said she owed.  I've done a reverse phone number look up on these numbers and they don't seem to exist.

Others of indicated that this is a third party debt collector, and I have posted that information on page 6.  Perhaps you should read it?

Debit colectors have laws they Must folliw according to the FDC. check this link out to see how to prevent them from Harrassment which us Illegal by Government law. If you owe a bill you don't need to be harrased.
