American Express needs to trace their own dishonest employees and stop that nonsense of an illegal use of personal info by anyone/anytime. Period.

A foreign male, named Hitesh, said he was from AmX. I had been on the phone with AmX yesterday about several fraud issues with my Account. I thought he was going to give me news of what was happening. When he asked about a certain amount, etc., I said it had been taken care of and hung up. I called AmX and reported what had happened. Maybe they will catch the sob.

same here. I received an SCAM call from 602 766 6484 a day after I contacted AMEX to resolve a dispute. How did the scammer know  that I was waiting for an AMEX call? they are selling  information or will it be an "insider job"?

Got a call a few minutes ago and went to voice mail.  A guy is wanting info about an AMEX account (that we do not have - nor applied for!).  Heavy Indian accent and hard to understand. We will not return the call.

I called the number back and i only get a fast busy signal, also called within one minute from 623-492-4206 also phoenix, and when i call that number back, the recording states you have rweached a non working number for american express and the recording gives a legit number for american express.

Received TWO calls today from this number. No voicemail. Called the number - fast busy. Called AMEX and they said it's ABSOLUTELY not their #. AMEX does not call customers - they e-mail or write letters. MY rep said he receives 20 calls a day about this. DO NOT give out any info.

Look, I've been talking with AMEX recruiters for the last month.  Suddenly, this guy calls from a 602 number- with a super thick heavy accent. These guys are getting in AMEX's database and stealing info.  This needs to be taken seriously.

They are at it again. Received a call from this number, they did not leave a message. I did a lookup on Google and saw many scam reports claiming it was an AMEX number, most recently popular from 2017. I don't have AMEX card.
I called AMEX. They confirmed it is not their number, and I should not provide any information to a caller from this number claiming to be from them.

I received 3 calls from 602-766-6484 claiming to be American Express. The voice message stated that "Mr Doe" lost his wallet and someone is trying to return the wallet. There is no "Mr Doe" and my husband has not lost his wallet. I called AmEx and they have no alerts on any of my cards. This is DEFINITELY a fraudulent call.

These scammers are so pathetic. Even if your husband had lost his wallet, AmEx wouldn't be calling him about it. How would they even know?
