They called me. I didn’t answer and they didn’t leave a message. I don’t know who they are. Anybody knows?!

Yes, they are Meade & Associates 614-635-8100, they also deal in collection of medical billing. This is not your friendly bill collector. They will harass you daily with multiple calls within the hour every hour. I've only had them leave one message in the past month of this number calling me nonstop. This company will not only call you at work they will mail correspondence to your place of employment. They defiantly cross the line if you ask me. I've reported them to the BBB & National Collections Board.

Unfortunaltely I have had to deal with this company due to a balance on a school oan through my university.  They have always been more than willing to work with me.  The gentleman helped me reconsolidate my loans.  They filled out 99% of the paper work.  I have a monthly payment set up through them and they call me each every 6 months to renew the agreement.  When I have had problems, they have always cancelled my payment for that particular month, no problem.  I had asked them not to call me at work, and they have stuck to that.   -  Maybe their attitude depends on the client they are representing. ??

This is a call from Meade & Associates in Columbus Ohio.  This is a collection office.  I believe an attorney collecting for several companies.  They keep calling me and I just let it go to voicemail.

This number called my cell phone every hour until I finally answered it. The call was for someone else and I informed the guy of this. He insisted that this was the number given him and for me to take a message for this other person. I told him this was my cell phone and not to call it again and to find out the correct information from his inployer before harrassing innocent people.

Yep, its Meade & Associates they are trying to collect.  I assume it is for student loans b/c I have declared bankruptcy & I read in an earlier Blog that they will cooperate with you. Thats good to know in this economy!

this company called looking for someone and i told him he had the wrong number and i hung up. he called back 2 more times telling me i was lying to him. the next day he called again and proceded to tell me how rude i was to hang up on him tha t i should have talked to him ,when i let told him what i thought and hung up again, he then blocked th enumber and called asking for my husband by name. he started harassing my husband an dthen called him a "rude b******" . all this for a bill that isn't even ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS GUYS NAME WAS "DAVE SMITH" i have since filed a case with AT&T. nobody should have to put up with this kind of behavior,especially from a "professional"

I think I had a run in with the same guy! He was so rude I couldn't believe my ears! Again he started harassing me because I simiply told him the person he was calling for wasn't in.
I had a friend over at the time of the call, I had ask him if he had seen the person this guy was looking for. When my FRIEND, NOT THE PERSON HE WAS CALLING FOR, answered that he wasn't in & I informed the guy of this, he then called me a lier!! & said that he had just heard him in the backround, when I explained that was a friend even gave the name of that person, he insisted I was a lier! I finally hung up, needless to say quite upset! PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE, IF THIS # CALLS U DON'T PICK UP! By  the way the guy claims his name is KENT

IF U DIDNT HAVE AN OUTSTANDING BILL, THEN THEY WOULDNT HAVE TO CALL YOU--SO PAY YOUR BILLS AND QUIT COMPLAINING.

meade and associates is great! they are more then willing to work with you on getting your bills taken care of, and its really not them call you every hour but again if you would just answer the phone and work something out to pay off your " DEBT"  then they wouldnt have to call you!

I received this number at my work. I only work in this place 2 days a month. I work at a hospital. I don't have any late bills or anything. He left a message with his name being Larry. I called the number back and all it says is leave your name phone number and account number and we will get back with you. No company name. My husband says that it sounds like fraud and they should at least have the company name on the answeing machine.

OK, must be the same guy calling everyone on here.. He has initials for a first name.  My sitter also had tried to tell him we were not home and he called her a liar.. he left a number and I called back when I got home to talk to a manger to report him and he was just as rude.  They will not stop calling me.. even though I have asked to be on a payment plan due to being out of work.. Very rude, how are they allowed to do this?  I am reporting them to everyone.. last time they called they threatened to call my neighobrs to see if I was really out of work.. WTF?  Is that?  This guy would also call here and act like he knew us or was a friend. and again my sitter would tell him we were not home and he would again be rude to her and call a liar.

SERIOUSLY, THEY CALLED YOUR BABYSITTER A LIAR! I HAVE A FEELING THAT YOU MIGHT BE FIBBING... NO BILL COLLECTOR WOULD CALL ANYONE A LIAR. STOP BEING DRAMATIC AND PAY YOUR BILLS!! IF EVERYONE WOULD JUST PAY THEIR MEDICAL BILLS HEALTH CARE WOULD NOT BE SO EXPENSIVE, SO YOUR NOT BEING A GOOD AMERICAN WHEN YOU DONT PAY "YOUR BILLS". DO THE AMERICAN THING STAND UP AND DO WHATS RIGHT.....PAY YOUR BILLS.....

If the person is calling the wrong number, then calling back just to harrass and annoy the wrong people - IS ILLEGAL - as indicated below from this link
