they are a rude company that does call you names...however the last time I spoke to someone there which has been years and it wasn't my account they were trying to collect..the person that did use foul language and called me names such as lazy, nonresponsible and all that...no longer works there...but they are rude...though they are trained that way to get the money...I would know...I was a collector...and still am just not with them and never have been with them...there are however some people in that company that are nice and willing to help you in any way they can to get your problems solved as long as you aren't playing games...but this company will not give out info to people...about their company when they call and that my friends is why people do not pay attention to this company and try to work with them on anything...and if these people are calling you non stop every day or more than once a day...then make sure that they are following the FDCPA guidelines. If you are not a business and this call is a personal residential call on a bill and they are not calling on more than one bill for that day then they are violating your rights in the state of Ohio!

First off yes its a collection agency. And yes they will use very underhanded way they can to collect a debt. After my matter went to court the courts heard it and made a judgement which was paid. this agency thehn bought my pevious debt from a different agency and tried to pursue it. I let them know the matter was settled in court already. They continued to harrass me. They sold my debt back to the previous agency as part of a bundled debt collections batch and needless to say i went on to be bounced between the 2 companies for almost 4 years. I've been cursed out, threatened with jail, been told my home car would be siezed etc.. But like I told them the matter is settleled and the most they will ever get out of me is a lawsuit for harrassment (which as of this month is pending).  For those of you who do not know, if you inform them you are recording the call you can urself record the call to be played in court. "You must let them know it is being recorded at the start of the conversation or its wiretapping and a crime". But if they curse you afterward that is a harrassment by telephone which is a Federal felony charge. It is illegal to use the telephone to make threats or harrass or be vulgar to anyone for any purpose. Prosecute to the fullest my friends.

you for sure work for the company, handle your self with class.. Just because your collecting on a bill doesnt give you the right to be sooo rude and disrespectful. Woul dyou like someone calling your family and speaking to them that way? You would do much better being nicer.

ME - You either work for them or are just a Class A idiot. If a call is recorded, YOU MUST be informed prior.. otherwise it doesn't mean s**t. And its amazing how you think no one has a wrong number, or mistaken information. These people are RUDE. I dealt with them today. NO recorded phone call and he informed me that due to bank limits on my card I was not able to pay.. EVER... he was sending my debt onto the DA... little does this dummas know that there is no DA is Ohio.. we have prosecuters yes.. and attorney general.. yes.. but no Sorry no DA.. you dumb*ss collection agencies use scare tactics and ILLEGAL practices to scare people into shelling out money.. sorry.. Lawsuit is headed your way... HAHAHAHAHA

I JUST GOT A CALL THIS MORNING AT 8AM. IT WOKE ME UP ON MY DAY OFF. I RETURNED THE CALL AND SOME GUY (VERY RUDELY) SAYS "MEAD" I ASKED WHAT CO. THIS WAS AND HE ASKED MY NUMBER. I GAVE HIM MY NUMBER AND THEN HE ASKED MY NAME, I RESPONDED BY "IM NOT GIVING YOU MY NAME, YOU CALLED ME AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY YOU CALLED BEFORE 9AM WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW. HE SAID THEY CANT HELP ME IF I DONT GIVE MY NAME, I WAS FURIOUS AND TOLD HIM NOT TO CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN OR I WILL PRESS HARRASSMENT CHARGES ON THEM. I CALLED BACK AND GOT A WOMAN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. IT WASNT TILL I GOOGLED THE NUMBER AND FOUND OUT IT WAS A COLLECTION AGENCY. THE LAW STATES THAT NO COLLECTION AGENCY CALLS CAN BE MADE TO YOUR HOME BEFORE 9AM OR CALL YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU BY THIS COMPANY OR ANY OTHER COLLECTION AGENCY, REPORT THEM RIGHT AWAY. THEY HAVE RULES THEY HAVE TO ABIDE BY THE LAW AND THEY ARE THERE TO PROTECT US IN CASES LIKE THIS. DONT LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU. JUST TELL THEM NOT TO CALL AND RECORD THE NUMBER AND TIME THEY CALLED SO IF THEY CALL AGAIN, REPORT THEM. THEY HAVE TO STOP OR YOU CAN SUE THEM IN COURT AND GET YOUR RECORD CLEARED. I KNOW BECAUSE I WORKED FOR AN ATTORNEY FOR YEARS AND HAVE DONE THIS MYSELF. IT WORKS TRUST ME. THEY ARE A VERY RUDE NASTY COMPANY AND HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THEN TO HARRASS YOU. THEY GO THRU A TRAINING PROGRAM ON HOW TO HANDLE CALLS BECAUSE THEY GET A PERCENTAGE OF WHAT THEY CAN COLLECT FROM YOUR PAST DUE BILLS. SO THEY ARE DOING IT TO MAKE THEMSELVES MONEY NOT THE COMPANY YOU OWE.  ONCE IT HAS GOTTEN TO A COLLECTION AGENCY, MOST LIKELY THE ORIGINAL CO. YOU OWED THE MONEY TOO HAS SOLD YOUR ACCOUNT TO THEM SO YES THEY WANT THE MONEY FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT. GIVE UP MEAD COMPANY YOUR IDIOTS AND YOU WILL GET YOURS ONE DAY. I HOPE YOU NEVER OWE ANYONE AND YOU GET A CALL FROM A RUDE [***] LIKE YOURSELF. FRUSTRATED BUT JUSTIFIED IN MY OWN WAY.

complaints is staggering,and no I don't owe these people,they have been trying to call my son,who passed away in 2009 ! And he was 53 yrs. old,and infact it was a medical bill,that his insurance paid.

This is a collection company called Meade & Assoc. out of Columbus OH. I've talked to a "Kelly" who is very rude, and I was also cussed out by some guy who sounded black. If you think THEY don't get rude & cuss, then YOU"RE STUPID!!!

You need to inform any debt collector who is calling your cell phone that they are contacting you at a cell phone #, which they are not permitted by law to do.  Familiarize yourself with the FDCPA and use it to your advantage.

These people have been calling about a debt we didn't know we had..hospital said we owed $25.00 from last june but we were never billed!  I sent a check, which the hospital sent for payment to their bank on 12/23/11.  Today, I get another call from the rudest person I ever heard on the phone.  I hung up on him, he kept saying to pay what you owe...I tried to tell this jerk that I had paid...he would hear none of it...I hung up on him!

I just got a new cell phone/number a couple of days ago. And it started to ring all the time!
Apparently this greedy bunch is careless and dumb and does not want to listen and learn that the phone number was cancelled by somebody that they are looking for and then is given to a completely different person.
Do I have to change the number now? I am so glad that I did not give it to anybody yet...

These people are incredibly RUDE!!! Yes I have a debt. I know this... I lost my job in 2009 and have been going to nursing school since then. I will graduate next yr. MY husband is the only one working, so we dont have extra money to pay this bill.... a medical bill..... Sherry goes on to say that they will be handing this over to an attorney for prosecution. Funny thing is... I worked for the company that I owe the $$ to... They dont prosecute!!!! Hahahaha. Say all  you want!!! Some companies do, but the Smith Clinc, Marion Area Health Center, Marion Regional Imaging, and Marion Ancillary Services DO NOT. It would cost them more money than what they are owed to pay a collection agency to go to court for them. Meade & Associates calls my phone every 2 hours. RIDICULOUS!!! Once I tried to to tell her that I dont have any extra money, she became incredibly mean and nasty. Threatening me!!! I used to work for a collection agency, my mother still does. NO WAY could we have gotten away with acting like they do. I understand that sometimes you have to be "firm" but Sherry didnt even want to hear anything about it. What's even worse is that I make payments to the Smith Clinic... not regularly but I make payments to them.Obviously they dont pass that info off to their collection agency!! I have the ability to block their # and I think I am going to because 7 calls in one day is a little much!!

Got a call from this number, asked for me by name. My elderly mother took the call. The caller was very respectful to my mother, who would not give him any information at all. I'm sure it's about some co-pay I've missed from one of too many doctors as I'm not on a free-ride from the government.
Whatever it is, it is most likely under $30 and the fault of some dim-witt in the doctor's billing office.
I'll call them back sooner or later and see how they handle themselves. An internet service I use says this number is a cell-phone, and that may be why they answer "Hello" if it really is.

That company is horrible. I definitely believe they would swear at people. I did have something in collections with their company and I knew it. I was also 8 months pregnant at the time and onlny my husband was working. When I told the woman this and said it may be a few months before we could do anything she asked me what kind of horrible mother would I make? Said if I cant pay my bills what chance did my child have? I was 19 and just cried and cried! Ended up talking to someone way higher up than her and eventually she did get fired for that. Those people would probably get better results if they were polite!
