They called me today and I answered.  They were calling on behalf of the ACLU, soliciting donations/membership.

I received this call last night. I called this morning and got VM stating they were raising funds for candidates or causes and to be removed, leave your number.

I asked them for a donation to the hospice fpr whom I volunteer. In lieu of a donation, I asked them to remove my number.

By the way, this works with door to door folks too.

I have been getting calls from this number in the late morning for a few days now.  They never leave a message.  Caller ID says the call is from "Massachusetts."

They have been calling every day, two-three times a day for the last week and a half.  They never leave a message.

Yes, I went to the website, it is a company that solicits funds for liberal groups like animal cruelty provention, etc.  Since I already contribue to several animal and environmental causes, I didn't want to get calls from them.  Based on the posts here, I called the Santa Barbara office (I'm in CA) and the man who answered politely agreed to take my number off their list.  Here's hoping it works.

Calls and hangs up after third ring, leaving no message

I keep getting calls every day, twice a day from this number - they do not leave messages or say anything when I answer. about to block it. If this is a fundraising number it's horrible.  they call on weekends.

When I called back on the weekend there was no answer. Called again today and the messages says TELEFUND.

VERY frustrating. If I could overhelm THEM with calls I would.

they have been calling here for the last few days as well. if they are presenting themselves as a progressive non-profit, yet they aren't attempting to raise funds and their actions are designed to annoy -- then you must remember the Republican tactics of Karl Rove!! This is most certainly a right-wing organization beginning their "robo-calling" to cast a negative light on progressives and to try to keep you home on election day! Do not be fooled. Tell your friends.

On my caller ID. Thought it was a long lost friend from Boston checking in for an update. I was wrong. I was annoyed.

Just like everyone else, calls from 617-292-7701 come through and the caller immediately hangs up. I called the Telefund National office at (617) 482-6882 to report this and to request that I be added to Telefund's internal "DO NOT CALL" list.  It is a shame, because they represent organizations that I support, but I will not tolerate what amounts to crank calls, even for a good cause.

they called me, I could hear the guy talking to somebody in the background, I kept saying hello, and he hung up. What a way to run a business.

Hmmm, I'm getting these calls twice a day too. I am very protective of my phone number but they may have gotten it from when I donated to the Obama campaign. Has anyone had success with asking to be removed? I guess so, since they haven't come back to post :)

They have been calling me on behalf of the Barak Obama's campaign. I missed 4-5 calls until I picked up on 10/16 and explained that I do not want to be annoyed anymore. They have continued calling me. I called back 20 times and kept getting a mailbox full message until the last time I was able to leave a message to have my # removed. I also sent them an email at   info@telefund.com to request the same.

Received a call from 617-292-7701 at 8:43 PM, but no message left.  I am on the Do Not Call Registry and filed a compliant at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Multiple calls over the past several months which I hoped would stop after the election.  They just called again.

I called this number, and thy claimed the 'do not call' list doesn't apply to them because they are calling for nonprofits.  I asked why they keep calling & hanging up on people, and the man had no explanation.  He claimed they would remove my number from their list.  We'll see.

I repeatedly get calls from 617-292-7701. the caller ID says "Telefund"  I have had at least 15 calls in the last two weeks.  When my answering machine responds they hang up and then over and over a message states "Please hang up .  There seems to be a phone of the line   Then a beeps goes on endlessly.  When I phoned Verizon I was told I would have to pay a fee to have the number blocked.

They've been calling for months, often 3 times a day very day. There erally ought to be something done about this form of harrassment. I have a handicap and these call are very disturbing to me and my wife.

APPEARS TO BE A POLITICAL FUND RAISING ORGANIZATION BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY ONLY RING BRIEFLY AND IF CALLED ONE ANSWERS SAY NOTHING - PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY SHOULD NOT BE CALLING.  WHY DO THEY PERSIST IN HARASSING ?
