I am tired of getting numerous calls from this company every day. They hang up as soon as you answer. I am on a do not call list, however, they and a lot of other people seem to have success bypassing the rules. How do you get this to stop????

Well, now there's a very polite recording at 617-292-7701 that says if you want to be put on their Do Not Call list, leave a message with your number.  I did it.  Hope it works.

Caller ID says Telefund.  They call 1-2 times per day and never leave a message.  Some of the calls have woken me up, and it's REALLY annoying!  Is there anything we can do?  I see others have tried to answer just to tell them not to call, and the call goes dead.

They have been calling once or twice a day for over a month now. Once I picked up and actually got someone, but they asked for my husband by name; when I said he wasn't home, caller said "we'll try back then" and hung up before I could get more information.  Generally we don't pick up but the other times we've tried, we get no answer.

I don't care if you're calling for a charity or not, harassment like this should be against the law.  I'm just thankful it's been my home phone and not my cell!

Called me at 1:40 today.  Rang 3 times, hung up, no voicemail

I've been getting voice mails from this company, too, but haven't answered any, so I didn't find out what company. I see in someone's post that it is Telefund, collecting contributions for progressive causes. I'm not going to tell anyone what to do, but beware, progressive is the new word for socialist. Google it if you're curious, and find out the history that goes back to late 19th century. Some pretty scary political stands. Not that it has anything to do with annoying, repeated phone calls, but I thought I'd say something... :o)

Received unsolicited call from this number today.

Just to let everyone know, I called their Boston office at (617)292-7700 after receiving only one call and reading the comments on here.  The man on the other end we very helpful in getting my number removed from their calling list.  Hopefully it worked.

they've been calling me for weeks now. did they stop after you emailed them?

IN THE LAST 30 DAYS THIS PHONE NUMBER HAS BEEN CALLING 3-4 TIMES A DAY. THEY NEVER LEAVE A NUMBER AND THE ONLY THING THAT APPEARS ON MY CALLER ID IS MASSACHUSE CALL. I WISH THEY WOULD STOP!!!!

I got a call from this number today, and checked 800notes (thanks for all the info). I looked up Telefund, and got their Massachusetts office number, which is 617-292-7700. A very polite guy answered right away and told me he could take me off the list today!

I've been getting this call daily, sometimes multiple times a day for weeks now.  I don't pick up and they don't leave a message.  It's just annoying.

if you answer this number when it calls, your name is flagged into a data-base for other telemarketers and charities to start calling you. The best thing to do is screen your calls and not answer. calling the telco's to block these numbers will do you no good. Even if you call the telephone company that assigned that number, they still will not do a thing even if you inform them that this number is harassing you.

if you answer this number when it calls, it flags your name into a database, and then your number is distributed to other charities and orgs., this system is designed to hang up on you. the reason they hang up on you is because once you answer,they have your legit phone number. this number is just a front to get your phone number. If you watch the pattern, soon after, you will start receiving calls from other businesses.

telemarketing fraud. If you answer this number, your number goes into a database, and then you start receiving calls from various telemarketers and charities. It does not matter whether you are on the national do not call database, they ignore it. The national do not call db., is a joke.

called today at 4:05 pm, asked for me by name, when I asked who was calling it got fuzzy on the line, and I hung up

I'm getting multiple calls a day as well.  I guess we'll just have to put up with it,though very annoying.
