Called. Hung up. Multiple times. I never had an AMEX card.

We need to find out who pontiac, NYorker, Broke!, Texas, happy amex customer, NJ, and others are and where they are from. Probable work for the Scam Company.
Everyone knows this is a scam. Do not call them.

this number is a tool to abuse citizens; they are studying a segment of the population of Amex to later proceed to rip them off.

Called no one would do say anything.

Got a call from them today. Right after the call I grabbed my AMEX card and called the 800 number on the back. They did in fact verify all of the info spoken about on the phone call from the 623 phone number. They also did in fact triple check by calling that office from their internal phone lines with their back line phone numbers. They assured me all was well, and that a new card was in fact out to us. Apparently someone had stolen my wife's AMEX card and was making purchases, and that was the reason for the call.  If you feel weird AMEX will allow you to hang up and call the 800 number on your card to be sure you are feeling secure about your account. Chances are if you have a AMEX card you are personally rather responsible, at least that is how they feel about it.

They have been calling EVERY SINGLE DAY about three or more times a day.  I have told them I am not Megan Olsen and to quit calling.  They keep calling and I am getting very tired of it.

THIS NUMBER IS NOT A COLLECTION NUMBER 623-492-6031 i spoke to AMEX this number is a marketing number they do own.. you need to be removed from all marketing thru the company themselves call the amex toll free number to do this.

constant calls, Tell them the same every month, will send what I can when I can. Unemployed, doing the best I can......This stuff needs to be stopped.  Cant bleed when there is no blood.

What I read about this is interesting.  These folks are giving fantastic support to the telephone company.  At least ten times a day we get calls from them and when we answer, there is no one there.  Further, neither The Church nor anyone with The Church has or would have an American express Card.

this number has been calling me 2-4 times a day for the past two weeks. i never answer and always reject the calls. i don't own and never have owned an american express card.

People, listen up...I work there.
It's the IPT department. If you don't believe it's them call the customer service # on your card.
They are calling because someone may have opened a card with your personal info. Do you not understand that?
It's also possible they have the wrong #.
Just tell them and ask them to take your # off the account.
Just doing their jobs, people. Not trying to harass you, they are the Identity Protection Team.

They call, I tell them I'll take a message, they call again EVERY 2 HOURS I told them I've already taken a message from them 2 times!

Scam!  Immediately asked for my social security number

Keep receiving calls from 16234926031 and they claim that they are from American Express it is not a telemarketing call. They want me to call them back and have my account number handy. I do not have an Amex card.

Got a call from this number 623-492-6031 a recording stated that the call was in regards to my amex acct.  message said to return the call to 888-315-0988.
I will follow up with Amex 800 number on the back of my card.

Of course it is legit...  Hey everyone send me your personal info & account numbers and I will straighten it out for you....  WTH would anyone post on here if it was legit? jeeesus... are you people stoopid?  Of course it is a scam...

This number has been calling me and I do not have an American Express card and never have.  I have asked three times to be removed from the calling list and continue to get calls.  I called customer service and was given 1-877-352-6747 to be removed from the call list. The person answering this number said it was the wrong number for removal and gave me the number 1-877-366-6737 to be removed from the calling list. This number allowed me to enter the number I want to place on their do not call list.

I will be reporting American Express for non-customer harassment to the BBB.
