What does the Democratic National Convention (DNC) have to do with all of this?

They are referring to the Do Not Call Registry, aka DNC.

I received a call from this number today. I lived in AZ for 10 yrs so for 2 seconds I contemplated answering. But I figured that if the call was important I would get a voicemail. No voicemail. I wanted to know who it was so I called it back. Immediately a recording of a woman comes on and says to pressee any key to be take off the call list. So I pressed a number and was immediately disconnected. They never say who they are.

Called but left no message.

Caller Blockers work real well....too bad it doesn't work here to block so called genius...smdh

Called h/cell- no message left. Annoying

IDed as "local" but not at all a local number.  I don't pick up calls from people I don't recognize so it went to the answering machine.  No message left.  I assume this is a robocall like several I've had recently.

I blocked these idiots a long time ago.

Got a call today no message just a hang up

this people keep calling a couple time a week . saying they can help me with my credit card. well guess what I don't own any. and when I tell them this , they hang up but still keep calling.

Automated girl said name was Rachell and she was calling from card holder services and they wanted to lower my credit percentage on my credit card.  I pushed   (1) as instructed to talk to a person.  When they answered they asked if I wanted to take advantage of their promotion and I said they called here before and because I'm on a do not call list I asked them to remove me from their list.  Woman hung up. Why can't someone or something be done about these calls??????

The FTC and Florida AG Pam Bondi have spanked several credit reprice gangs. A precious few have gone to prison. The scheme dates to 2008 and is not hard to reproduce. We could be dealing with copycats, splinter groups, or even the same crooks using new aliases

Why can't you answer your own question? The FTC and state AGs have made no secret of the dozens of actions taken against credit reprice fraud shops. You can search the FTC press releases yourself for reports dating back to 2009, not long after this scheme surfaced. Law enforcers depend on you to report your experiences so they know which crooks to target next.

If that's not enough "someone or something" for you, find your callers and sue them personally for TCPA violations. Then you'll quickly discover how hard the job is when your opponents have done a great job of hiding themselves behind spoofed Caller ID and shell companies.

CID said 'Member Services'  I don't have and don't want a credit card.  I refuse to pay their interest fees.  No message left number was not one that I recognized so didn't answer.  I have had them attempt to scam me in the past, so I already know they are thieves and scammers.

Scam calls from all different numbers every day multiple time.  Go ahead try and talk to them.  They hang up on you right away!  Ask for manager, hang up.  Say dont call again, hang up.  Use telephone system to remove number, doesnt work.  Call back the line is busy every time.  This is against the law.
