I've been getting calls from these idiots since Friday.  They are looking for someone I don't even know.  Turns out this person used to have my phone number.   I told them I do not know the person.  They told me I had to talk to the supervisior to request my number be removed.  What a JOKE because when I was transferred I got the voice mail machine and it was FULL.   They don't seem to care that you don't know the person your phone number used to belong to.  These idiots need to be punished to the fullest punishment allowed by Federal and State Law!!!

For me it was really simple getting them off my back and here it goes for all of you.

-When they call you dont acknowledge you are ANYBODY!
-Just simply tell them "To further continue this call, the call is being recorded for my legal purposes anything you say can be used or will be used against you in a court of law, if you accept we may proceed with the call"

hahaha! Just tell them and they will hang up the phone themselves since they cannot accept to be recorded!

    Good luck people!

Many calls asking for Angela Gibbons - not me - msg says press 1 if you are not Angela or continue to listen if you are.
I am hearing impaired and never pick up the phone - I have captioning phone that captioner will transcribe msg.  I know this is a debt collector.  They say to call 866-415-1991 or 886-415-1991 - when I do the line is always busy.  I am on the "DO NOT CALL" list.

These people have called my number no less then twice a day over the last 40 days (excluding weekends and holidays) looking for some lady with the same last name as I.   I owe them nothing nor do I have any idea about the person they are looking for.
I have tried to be polite and explain this but the people from Client Services are rude and refuse to listen. I have asked to speak with a supervisor only to get voice mail (and never a return call).   How do you make a company understand we have no connection to the person they are looking for??

Call came in at 7pm on 9/15/08. They never leave a message and I refuse to answer calls from a number I don't know. They have also called using an "unknown" id and this number-615-482-6358.

I was called today by Danielle Baker at Client Services- 636-947-2321. They were looking for my neighbor. That has got to be one of the most unethical business pracices I've heard of. I reported them to the FTC and the Do not call list since my phone number is listed there. These people should be stopped.

They called my ex-wife and said I used her for a reference on a federal loan. And asked for my information. Of course that started a huge fight. I called them and talked to something "Lester" he demanded I pay this federal loan back or they will begin to garnish my pay and start seizing assets. This company is the biggest piece of dirt I have ever dealt with. By The way the debt is for a US Bank Credit card which are also the biggest low lifes I have ever talked to. They gave me some low ball rate and an awesome balance transfer, then they didn't process the first bill in a timely manner, I got the bill, paid it immediately, they processed the payment several weeks later making me ONE day late (not 31) but ONE, then they jumped my interest up to 32.75% and I tried to negotiate with them then just told them to f-off.  I have since filed a complaint on the dept collectors with the Federal Trade Commission google up Fair Debt Collection Act, you can even file a complaint on line. They violated so many laws it's pitiful.

I just purchased a new cell phone and subsequently received a new phone# with it. Within a few days after activating my new phone line, I started to get an automated call asking for a person whose name I have never heard of and have no association with. I called the number back and told them that I do not know this person. They were very rude and asked me for my name so that they can document who called. I told the woman on the phone that I would not give my name because I do not know them. They said they needed it so that they can remove my phone#. Of course, I gave them a bogus name and she was very sarcastic when she repeated "my name". She said that my request will be "taken care of". We'll see...

Brooke Mason from Client Svcs. left a message on my machine today telling me that she had some important documentation for me.  I felt a little puzzled because if someone has important documents for me or conerning me I would think they would be calling me from the same area code I live in.  I called the number and asked who were they - I was told they were an account receivable company represent different financil organizations.  Now that I know who they are I will not answer the phone and will report them if they call again.  Oh.  when they transferred me to this Brooke Mason the recording was a male voice saying to leave a message for Brooke....

They do not have the correct number and they are calling a cell phone which is against the law at this point since I have advised them to not call my cell phone. This law is TCPA!

I started getting the same calls as everyone else here after cancelling some magazine subscription. I don't know if it's related.

Has anyone been able to get these guys to stop calling? BTW, I think they are using Skype or some other Internet phone service so it shows up as an Unknown number and you cannot call them back.

This guy is breaking the law.  Like another poster he called my (85) year old mom in another state and gave her a hard time.  I told him he was breaking the law but he did not seem to care.  After reading this now I know why.  How does he slepp at night?

I am replying but I am writing this for every unfortunate person.

Very disappointing, that's why I found these notes. It sounds some similarities here, I do not own anybody any money, a woman from Client Service with 636-947-2321 called me two times -- both charged minutes on my cell phone! -- the first time she gave me a name that I wasn't able to identify so I told her wrong number, she persisted but she wasn't able to make herself clearly understandable, I was so frustrated that I hung up. The 2nd time she called also gave me a name I couldn't identify but I've already forgot the name she mentioned previously about a week ago, I did make it clear that I am not the person she's looking for though, she asked if I am Ms. xxx, I said yes, then she mentioned about the stranger's name and I confirmed with her that I was not that person, she said that of course you are not, she indicated sth. like "she has 30 packages here" then my cell phone was out of power and call got disconnected. I called back during the free minutes period on the same day, here is my log:

1st attempt, upon request, the operator claimed himself as David, after I explained and gave the time called, I asked him to check for me what the woman was calling me about at that specific time, he put me on hold and then got back to me saying "we have computer problem, I can't find that person", while I was trying to give him more info as far as what number she called me at and my last name (they knew anyway!), he's not interested and then disconnected the call w/o notification.

2nd attempt, I forgot the name she the operator mentioned, but she was "KIND" enough to give me the original caller's name and a 4 digits number (I noticed it's an ext# later) advising either to leave her message or call back tomorrow, she also said Client Service does financial services for banks and she doesn't know why that woman was calling my personal number. I opted to leave message and I do not want to deal with this any more requesting caller to call me back at same number spelling the mentioned name letter by letter (she has accent!)and leave detailed message as far as what she's calling about.

3rd attempt, wondering and called back and entered the given ext#, the 1st man answered the phone, when I asked if he's the same person, he said there is no David as an operator over there and he claimed him as Chris when asked, then I told him that David did not provide good service tonight at least to me and I explained as above, but this Chris did not want to listen but being rude and kept asking if I have and what's my client ID#, while I tried to say what I have to say he put me to that ext. w/o nitification.

I became very suspicious and quite annoyed now and determined to find out more, I called back again, but the call was disconnected immediately once I entered the given ext#.

Called back without entering the given ext#, but this call was transfered to that ext. automatically.

I called back again without entering the given ext# and there was a voice saying "we're currently closed".

Called again without entering the given ext#, no answer but keep ringing forever after I held the line for "Operator".

Did a Google search, located the very "official looking" web site www.ClientService.com, did another search with 636-947-2321 and got these posts.

Just called one more time @12:02am before I leave, still no answer from "operator" after I held the line but keep ringing, the greeting message / options is the same though. What I wanted this time was to warn them not to call me any more. I will report it to the 800 Do Not Call, I guess this is the only thing that I can do at this time.

Hopefully we'll never ever get a call from this number again!

Who the hell is this person? replies to TheFrustrated
Practically the same thing has happened to me. They've been calling my cell phone for these past 3 days. And I'm under 18... They keep asking me if they could speak to a person who's name I did not recognize. That one woman who called you... May be the same woman who called me. She asked to speak at an adult who owns the house & saying that that person who I could not recognize lives here.... This woman happened to call on a private number but a second number appeared on my cell phone, asking for that same person.

So I searched the number on Google apparently and found out it's some service or whatever. Ah well....
