Got call from this no.which  came up "law enforcement" on caller ID. Wanted to know the make and model of my office printer. Hung up when I said the call showed  "law enforcement".

Just Skype. Could be overseas or stateside. My husband called me from Kansas with this number.

Got this call and the ID said Palmdale.  A woman trying to convince me that last spring I purchased something at a Walmart or K Mart....I repeatedly ask what name she was trying to reach....Never answered my question, so I hung up on her.

It definitely is a skype number. It was our family calling from France and from Latin America.

I got a call  from a girl named Maria i have been exchanging emails with. she is supposedly a doctor in russia who is moving to the US and wants to meet me in person.  she might even move to my area - she says.  she sends me lots of pictures and tells me she has told her mom and her friends about me. she wants my address but i have not given it to her.

Funny she called me and has written to me several times with the same exact story. Oh and she is going to earn 80K and they are forwarding her 6k and its not going to cost her a scent. Did you get pictures from her friends wedding too. I bet she also uses the email address Maria@mdhcare.com

Same here.  I bet her friend's name in the wedding pics is Nina.  And she has another friend named Olga who takes alot of pics for her.  Too funny!

So Maria is quite famous I see. I asked her for her last name and she said she doesnt know how to spell it. She is going to wait till her Visa arrives then she can copy - lol.

When I asked for her work address in US she said she will go to NY first and then come down to my area based on where her agency finds her work. How convenient.

Just had a creepy call a moment ago from this number. Complete silence on the first call and naturally I hang up and it didn't took long before I received another call with the same number. At first it was quiet but suddenly a rhythm of uncertain sound is heard on the other line. The only thing I could make out from the noise as if it were echoes of foot steps or repetitive bangs of a hammer. I stayed on the phone for a moment before I've hung up. Not long I've receive another call from an unavailable number which I'd ignored.

I get a call around 3:30 pm Eastern from phone # 661-380-3000. I answer and the voice on the other end asked for me specifically.  Well, he tells me he is from "Wal-Mart headquaters" and they had over charged my MasterCard.  Supposedly the original charge was for like $2.00 and they had charged me $49.00 and he was calling to refund the money back to my Master Card ending in 6891.  BUT I do not have any cards ending in that number and plus I would of remembered or known if there was an overcharge on my bank cards.  So this guy tells me that he want's me to give him any card information so he can refund  the money back.  My GF is hearing this and tells me to not give my card information out and I start asking this guy questions. Like who are you, what's your number to call back and who do you work for?  He tells me his name is "Harry Jones" and the number he gave me to call back is 727-450-7691 ext 7691. (But the caller id where he called me was from 661-380-3000) I told him what bank is this Master Card charge from and "Harry" got pissy with me and said, " Look I have spent to much time on this call already sir, there are other people I need to call to refund there money back. If you don't want this refunded back then god bless. " Then the jerk hangs up.   Well needless to say this was a fraud caller and when I called both of the number's back there were the wrong number's.

Yes, it is a Skype call.  Not a prank.

It's not just for soldiers in Afghanistan. It is a Skype number that can come from anywhere. My cousin lives in Maine and I live on the other side of the country and she called me from her Skype account asking me to video chat. SKype services are in southern California. That is where the number comes from. So chill out about it. And when did anyone call anyone a prick? It could be teenagers calling a random number as a prank. This number can be from anyone, anywhere.

He said his name was john from" pantrs r us" he asked me if I wanted cotton pants and was being racist and then told me to call back at 1696969696969696649696966969...

Lubbock Police Department, although the caller did leave a voicemail with a valid call-back number.

I received a call claiming to be a relative in Bolivia needed $4000.00 for bail as he is in some kind of trouble with drugs. Am I in danger of being scammed?

Got a call from this number 4 times this weekend. First time i answered it was completely silent, the second time it's some creep asking to pick me up or go on a "date" with me. Had my name, address, parent's names, school; basically everything.  Said he found me when he googled "pretty ladies" and that he was a male Japanese man looking for "fun", if you know what i mean.
Prank call? Or should i be worried.

I just got call from this Number. The guy told me he was calling on behalf of applying for something at Walmart and wanted my information to confirm it.....As far as scams goes I interrupted conversation. Be careful.

I keep getting calls from US government grants using this number. They continue to harass me, unfortunately for them I am a DoD employee residing on a military installation.
