- MichaelI also got this call today. I will not put up with this what so ever. I took the information of some of you and contacted the service provider to the phone number they are calling from. This is the response I got:
We have an established process to investigate potential Acceptable Use Policy violations – please go to www.bandwidth.com and use the “Acceptable Use Policy” link provided in the lower left hand corner to report your concern to our fraud & security team so that we may investigate and take any appropriate action. We realize this is an extra step for you since you have already sent an email, however, we need you to please complete the very quick report so that it generates a ticket appropriately for tracking and documentation purposes.
Additionally, your concern may be a matter for law enforcement and we encourage you to work with your local law enforcement as may be appropriate, and they will know how to contact us for further assistance according to their own established processes.
Thanks for your email and letting us know – as soon as you enter your report the fraud and security team will research the matter.

(770) 499-3900 - Dunkin DonutsI just called the number back and I spoke to a woman (after a long wait) She never asked who I was so I assume they were looking up my number. She finally told me who she was looking for and that person has not worked here for at least or close to 6 months. I did ask the woman to take my phone number off her list, she said she just did. Now we wait and see. The person that they were referring to, the woman, had two different names. I have no idea but glade to see the posts that were written.
- Caller: Never gave me the copamany name

- DeterminedDay number 3 of my investigation so after contacting Bandwidth I found out bandwidth provides service to clients who then provide service to smaller VOIP providers like vonage. So this is why it is hard to track these scammers down. But I'm on their trail. I will find out who they are. I will update you soon
- tracy replies to Andres LeonidasI get this same call from different numbers and names that I will be arrested at my work. BLAH BLAH it is total [***]!!
Don't believe it. ITS TOTAL CRAP. - Big MapleAlso was just called by the female scammer on this. Came from the 678-816-1650 number. I'm going to try and report them at the suggestions above. I'll check back and see if Determined has prevailed!
- Caller: Didn't Say
- Call type: Debt collector
- DeterminedI am back!! I found out that this phone number is a GOOGLE VOICE number. Some info I picked up along the way:
Voice numbers aren't listed in phone books or connected to physical addresses, they're difficult to trace. When they call from Google Voice number, it shows up on your caller ID with a fake number, and standard phone traces don't reveal their identity. If law enforcement agencies become involved, Google provides them with the account information, including the IP address, name and address of where the calls are coming from.
Tracing Google Voice Calls
If your recipient enters your Google Voice number in an online directory, such as White Pages, Switchboard or AnyWho, the search returns the Bandwidth headquarters, the company that issues VoIP numbers to Google Voice users. Since Bandwidth has many headquarters across the country, your Google Voice area code determines which building the search finds on a map. Finding your location and identity from this information is impossible, especially since you can choose any area code for your Google Voice number
-Will update soon... - StephanieGot a call from 678-816-1650 saying there were 2 fraud charges being filled in connection to my social security number....

- CWG40 replies to Sylvia WatkinsA call blocker might be helpful. See if you can get your employer to install one too.
If they are bothering you,
Report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening criminal prosecution to collect a civil debt is a clear violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. If you can find them. - kipreceived a call today from this number in which was an automated system advising that two charges are being filed against me. I could tell from the no person answering service that it is a total scam. I cant wait till they call me again and someone's on the damn line. to let them know I work for the FBI and they are being tracked. the number is 678-816-1650. don't play in to it people!! Scam Scam Scam!!!
- Caller: process & Determination
- fed up tooI've received calls everyday from this number, not only on my cell but work number, same message that everyone else seems to get, two warrants against me for fraudulent activity. Tells me to call back (same number) to speak to their legal department to stop the charges before I am served at my place of work or home. I'll tell you it scared me to death first time I heard the message, but it is a recording, but does have my name included. I did file a complaint on www.ftc.gov. I hope this helps. does anyone know if they will ever stop calling?? Thanks for all the posts on this, made me feel better when I found out it was a scam, but I'm so tired of these jerks doing to everyone.
- Caller: ph. 678-816-1650- no name given
- DeterminedIt is hard to track these people down since they use a fake number through google voice, and the calls are then forwarded to their real number. Google is the only one that know the real identity on these people. I am looking into that now. I might just file charges on them, and file a subpoena for the phone records through my local court system. If you do it yourself it's only about $15. Only then will you get the real identity and you can sue them for harassment or press charges.
