Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

Last known address that I can find:

    PREMIUM ASSET SERVICES, LLC

Just got a call from an unknown number stating that his name is Dave Weber from Firm of PAS and associates and that they have a judgement pending to garnish my wages. Knew my husbands name and and pretended to act like he has spoken to my husband and that my husband knows what they are collecting about. Stated that I have until the end of the day yesterday before he submits the judgement to garnish my wages.

Premium Asset Sevices called my employers twice pretending to be a mortgage company called Premier Asset Services but left the above phone number. They called me several times from this number as well as a different number demanding a call back. I called the company and they refused to provide any information unless I verified my social security number, which I declined to do. The first person I talked to transferred me to their "legal department", who also refused to provide any information unless I confirmed my social security number. Then he threatened to sue me.

Be afraid, be very afraid, so you'll pay a bogus amount to keep away those who won't show up in the first place. Without any kind of answer on your end if possible, it's one less person they're able to threaten. When they run out of responders, they're out of business.

Brenda, don't be afraid be ticked off. This is a scam!  No one will serve you papers. If you were to be served they wouldn't warn you ahead of time because then you could avoid them. Block the number and do not respond to calls of this type. Never return their calls.

Debt collection scammers.  No legitimate process server calls you up in advance and tells you they are coming by.  Ignore and block these calls.

I had multiple calls from this number leaving messages saying I was at risk of going to jail?! Called them back and they mentioned an employer I hadn't worked for in two years, and mentioned my PARENTS property! I'm 26 and live on my own, don't understand why other people's property was tried to use as a way to collect a debt I owe. The man was extremely rude everytime I spoke to him and kept threatening me with jail time and taking me away from my children. Was very verbally abusive to me, called me stupid etc.

Received a voicemail today on my landline asking for my brother-in-law, who passed away over 5 years ago, stating that he had to return the call today because a civil suit had been filed against him.  Not 3 minutes later I received a call on my cell phone leaving the exact same message for me! My b-i-l never lived here and I certainly never had any dealings with him that would result in a civil suit that involved both of us!! Blocked the # on my cell, dont know what to do about the landline.

Called numerous times for a colleague here at work.  First message:     "Hi good afternoon the message is for Mr. X.  Mr. X my name is Glen Strickland on the managing director the firm of PAS and Associates. I do need to speak to you in reference to a matter that involves you directly with my firm. You may contact me direct line 949-784-0415 is my direct line. When calling you can reference your file number XXXXXX dash XX dash CA. It is imperative that I speak to you and or your legal representative within the next 24 hours pertaining to this matter. It involves you directly I will need to get your statement for the record. Thank you."

These guys are obviously scam artists.  No one has called back but they have called our main number and asked for "Personnel" and attempt to get more information on Mr. X by offering up some info like a social security number to make them look legit.

Of course Mr. X has no outstanding debts and has no idea what they are calling about.  As other posters say on here, no legit debt collection office would call and tell you they have filed a law suit and are about to serve it on you.  a) legit collection agencies want to defer any costs and attempt to collect the debt from you so they can wring as much as possible out of the collection - filing a lawsuit is the LAST resort because they incur lots and lots of costs. b) as others have pointed out, legit agencies will provide the information they are LEGALLY obligated to provide. c) legit agencies do not have agents for service of process listed with the California Secretary of State (as they are required to do) who are attorneys that have been suspended by the State Bar numerous times as PAS has (Luis Vasquez). d) legit credit agencies don't have a manager, also listed by CA secretary of state, who you can Google and find his name associated with numerous bogus similar businesses (Google: Scott Cass, Santa Ana, CA) and numerous similar complaints (check out http://www.cardozalawcorp.com/library/premium-asset-services-llc.cfm).

Looking into blocking his number but all staff has been instructed to say "Mr. X has your message" and hang up (or not to pick up the call in the first place)
