I also received this fax - did think it seemed a bit suss so i googled it and came up with your posts.
Thought it was strange that they would have 'approved candidacy' but be asking for all of our details - how would they know that we were approved if they didn't even have basic contact information - that can be taken off the website???

I received this fax today ,  (from Jennifer Rivera and a Sydney Fax)Without thinking I faxed the information but after a phone call thought it was sus. Gladly I stalled at giving further information & yes they asked for a credit card to take up platinum or gold membership ( costs $ 500 & $700 repectively. When I hesiated I was offered "what they usually only have for charity organisations" ( yeh right ) a cheaper option. Lucky I was able to get to my computer & google the informationm to then see these posts . Thank you to all these posts . Lets hope our Aussie professionals are able to see this scam for what it truly is .

Yes, I got one of the Australian faxes from Jennifer Rivera from Who's Who Among Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs. Wanted to include me in their 2009 edition. I thought it was a bit funny addressed to Owner/Manager, so like others I googled it. (Thank God for google!)

Hello I too received this fax May 1st 2009 Perth Western Australia. Fax number to return to on our form is 02 8088 7366 (this is a NSW number).

Im in Australia also and received the fax! after googleing the name i found this comment page! thanks!!! did seem very strange no name no contact number no company logo! very professional i must say!!!! lol

This scam is in Canada as well. I manage a medical imaging clinic and last week I received a call asking about company details I was not comfortable giving over the phone. I asked the rep to fax me the questions and yesterday I received the fax from Jennifer Rivera with an Ontario fax number 905-248-5158. Thanks for information on this scam.

I received a call from Mark Overbey at 888-494-6794 x. 9911 aftr I faxed the form to them. When the phone rang, my display read 416 or 516. He informed me that one thing was $769.00 and something elese was $559.00 and he wanted my credit card information. I was turned off by this. I thought something was fishy. Don't purchase these items over the phone.

Make the most of it. These "Who's Who" scammers get what they deserve if you undertake the following steps (assuming you have a fax number to respond to).

Imagine your favorite or least favorite character. What would be their job title? Where would they live? What would be their personal specialty? That one is really fun.

Last but not least, apply a border of at least one inch around the entire page with a fat black marker, then simply fax back.

Make lemonade out of lemons. I had an excellent time sending my information. I hope to get yet another invitation. Let's see... who will I be next time?

This was a fax. The phone number on it was (516) 368-9910 for the
"Presidential Who's Who". The return fax number is (866-676-5744.

If you do fill out the form and send it back they will call you non-stop at home and at work until they talk to you.  I told them many times I was not interested but they would not stop harrassing me.  I finally asked for the name and number of their manager and the person on the other end said she didn't know who her own managers name was.  So she asked me to hold the line for a minute so she could find out.  A couple of minutes later I was hung up on and they never called back!!!

Don't ever fill out the form!!!!!

My boss gave it to me and said, hey fill this out thanks
He is WAY TO BUSY to read it and this is probably why people get scam straight off.
Anyways thanks once again, i just googled and yes there are many people in the same boat.
Several months ago we got another scam that said we had a relative overseas that passed away and we were to receive alot of money. Told that person to go jump.

Recieved a fax from Jennifer Rivera today with NSW fax number as per above. I am in Melbourne so it may just be hitting our state now! How can you be an appointed candidate when they don't even address the letter to a specific candidate.

Yes, I've just received the same fax yesterday 1st June, 2009.  Was automatically suspicious but eventually thought I'd search the organization on the internet.  Thanks for the posts, glad to confirm my original suspicions!!
