Same thing just received here - 'Sincerely, Jennifer Collins, Editor'.
I'm always suspicious of anything that arrives by fax - most of them are scams, which quickly comes up when you google the name of the organisation or publication.
There must be some sneaky way they can detect which phone lines have faxes connected, and bulk-send them in some way.
My suggestion - stock your fax machine with scrap paper so it's a little less wasteful of paper!
And of course, never respond to them!

Yep, just received it in Sydney. "Jennifer Collins" , fax ID 274642458.
The mark is supposed to fax a reply to 02 8078 6030, "no cost involved"
for a listing. What a SCAM.

I like the absence of ABNs and logos/trademarks. Gives it that extra
flaky feel.

Received the fax in South Australia today, so it looks like the scam is making it's way all around Australia. They are persistent - I was having trouble with my fax today and they made 5 attempts before it got through!!

I received this fax in Melbourne today addressed from Jennifer Collins at Office of Public Affairs on Ph no. 02 8078 6060. Thanks for all the warnings - thought it looked a bit suss!

Also received the fax here in Melbourne re Who's Who among Executives, Professionals, & Entrepreneurs in Australia, from Jennifer Collins. Return fax 02 8078 6030. Checked with Who's Who and is indeed a scam (as all you good people have already worked out)

We received the fax today. We are in Perth. Thought it looked a bit suspect by the missing Company name and ABN. The whole thing looked suspect on close inspection. They say your business has been selected yet they ask for your business name.

Same here, reached Strahan in Tassy.

Fax from Jennifer Collins from "Office of Public Affairs".  Looked dodgy so I googled several bits of information.  No such office in Australia and then I turned up this page.  Good to have my suspicions confirmed.

WE have received this weird and wonderful Fax today...as with many others we were suss and googled them to find...ta da...All these helpful comments. The name is Jennifer Collins and the number to Fax back on is: 02 8078 6030. Scam Scam Scam.

I got this same FAX on the 23/9/09 fax id was 279475147, the number can be easly faked. I knew it was scam as soon as I looked at it.

I received the same fax today. The only difference now is that it is from a Jennifer Crowley not Jennifer Collins.

Fax arrived today - name changed AGAIN to Jennifer Crowley.

Want to put you in who's who's but dont know your nme or type of business but ou rate enough to have a Bio.Pull the other one.Thats why we are genuine and they are scammers.

Thank you for setting this site up. I thought the fax I receive was a scam, probably related to paying a high fax rate so they can rake in the dollars and found this site via a Google search. Received the fax from "Jennifer Crowley" saying our business had been selected to be included in the 2009/2010 Edition of Who's Who among executives, professionals and Entrepreneurs in Australia.  We are in WA and it was received on the 20 October 2009.

Fax number was 02 80786030. We have not had any phone contact as yet.

I got one as well and replied becuase I am a star!

I work for a multi National and we have received the same fax; however, this is faxed to the main switch and we cant stop it! It is on repeat and we have already received it 30 times.... Annoying.

We received the fax and duly replied at the end of September. Today I received a call from a "John Senna" who was checking our credentials to decide if we were worthy to be included. He actually sounded quite bona fide. Unfortunately his manner changed to telling me our application was "rubbish" once he had established that other than being a professional small business owner for 25 years we had made no other worthy contributions to the community.
