Received this today, no sender name, generic address, asking for details they claim they already have, 028 fax number. Dodgy!

Just got it in Perth so thanks for the info. Filing cabinet 13 it goes.

Who's Who in Australia Among Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs - Couldn't understand why we would get this at a non-profit organisation and why they would fax and not call or email or write.  Because these methods would be picked up by spam filter or someone with half a brain speaking to them in person.  Great forum and I am warning anyone I know with a fax.

I am so thankful we have live in this age where we can click a few buttons and be able to access all this information. I am also glad that some people take the time out to let others know of their experiences.
I am in Brisbane and got this fax from Jennifer Collins today.
I too am going to file it under file 13.

Hmm we got the Collins surname and the fax number 02 8078 6030 is still being used.  Suprised the real WHo's who is not setting the dogs on them.
I ALWAYS check now-a-days to see if something like this is a scam.  I get loads of variations of the Nigerian Scam, the Euro[ean Lottery winner, A distant relative unknown to me and with a different surname to me leaving me squillions...BUT they need my surname(??!!!??Q!?!?!?).

Ahh the internet.. some much potential forgood and so many crooks in the world..lol

Just got this same thing faxed to me 20 minutes ago. Thought it was a scam (lady has changed her name to Jennifer Collins). Happened last year too...in the bin, folks.

Was sus as we had been 'approved' for something we hadn't applied for and there were no contact details (of theirs) provided other than the fax number.

Yup, it's hit Sydney now! From Jennifer Collins the "editor". Love the fact the the "no name" director is looking forward to my appearance in this year's addition. Why would they need details that they could get from my website?

I got the fax earlier today in Canberra. Well I think it was me...it could've been my wife in which case I guess she's missed out on her 15mins of entrepreneurial fame! Jennifer Collins is obviously VERY busy, and very polite.
Between the Nigerians, Dutch, Austrians and the UK I've got about 3 Trillion dollars on the way (handy!).  But now that I've been chosen as an "interesting biographical subject" for this esteemed publication, who needs the money?
You'd want to hope that they're paying for all these fax transmissions...

Just recieved this fax on the West Australia.  Addressed from Jennifer Collins, Editor with a Sydney Fax number (02) 8078 6030.  Also states its from Office of Pulic Affairs.

How did they have my fax number when it not even listed? So weird.

Received fax dated 2/9/09 from Fax Id 273775746 Name Jennifer Collins Reply Fax (02) 8078 6030 - My elderly father received on fax and was excited about his business being included.  I told him I would check it out first.  Glad I found your posts.

Received fax from Jennifer Collins saying our business had been selected to be included in the 2009/2010 Edition of Who's Who among executives, professionals and Entrepreneurs in Australia.  We are in WA and it was received on the 2 September.

Unfortunately my husbands ego was stroked sufficiently and he faxed back the form with our details.  

Fax number was 02 80786030.  Have reported it on ACCC website and will update here if we do get charged a higher fee for the fax.  We have not had any phone contact as yet.

I got the fax last week - same details, different caller ID.

Fax arrived 7/9/09 from Jennifer Collins informing me of my selection in 2009/2010 Edition of Who's Who Among Executives, professionals, and Entrepreneurs in Australia. Addressed only to Director/Manager. Yea right!!! Selected me but doesn't even know my name. Did a Google search and came up with this site. Thought it was weird. This just confirmed it. Waste of my paper and ink again. The fax came from 02 7466 7399 but had to fax to 02 8078 6030.

I got the fax today too, from Jennifer Collins....It certainly pays to research these things before you supply any details..  Phew, I thought it looked dodgy!
