I received a call from 720-708-1000 today.   The caller ID showed up as "Colorado".  Since I didn't have any business with poeple in that state, I simply pressed the [talk] button on my telephone handset and then the [end] button to cut it off.  Aterwards, I called this number back and got the following message: "So-Do-Mi. Your call cannot be completed at this dial.  Please check the number and dial again."  Apparently, this is a fake number.  Although I have registered my phone number with the national DO NOT CALL list, I can't file a complaint against a number that does not exist.  How can we stop fraudsters faking their caller identity?  Anybody has any idea?

Just received a call from this number from Lisa saying she was from century link and needed to change my long distance carrier over to the century link carrier since qwest no longer exists.  She gave me a bogus phone number to contact United Telecom.  When I called Century Link they said that they did not use United Telecom.  Now I have to get it removed.

I want to know how I can get my number removed from there call list. Everytime I answer and ask them politely to take my number off the call list they hang up on me. what do i do??

I picked up phone and they asked for K---- i said can i help you they said yes and then the phone started beeping and wasnt able to talk to them they said they were from the county.......

Just received a call from 720-708-1000 and this time someone started speaking on the phone. He tried to say he was with the Fraternal Order of Police from New Jersey, and when I advised him he was calling from Colorado, he started losing it.

This is an unwanted and illegal call.

A  person called and said letters had been sent to my home to appear in court for beneficiary money from a deceased family member. She said she was representing Metropolitan Life Ins Co. They then tried to get personal information from me (date of birth) and they actually verified my physical address.  When I refused to give them any info on the phone, they hung up.  When I tried to call the number back from caller ID, the phone number is fake and doesnt go through.  This is absolutely a scam.  The woman calling sounded to be of black origin.  No other information to pass on other than beware and DO NOT give out any personal information on the phone to anyone !

Why are they not in jail for phone fraud by now?I get harassed often...many grey have...why are they still there?

I got from them telling me goverment is giving me $6000, all I have to do is to go to western unuin deposit $100 for ten to fifteen minutes and i will revieve $6100.00, I told them Bull [***].

They've been calling my number several times a day for the last 2 weeks.  I finally answered just to tell them I don't want them calling anymore, and there was no one there.  I tried calling it back a couple times, and I get the same message.  There has got to be a way to stop these [***]!

I've been getting calls from this number at least twice a day for about 2 weeks nor...maybe more.  My caller ID says Colorado 720-708-1000.  I usually don't answer because I don't have any business with anyone in Colorado, and I don't accept any kind of solicitation phone calls.  I finally just answered one day to tell them to stop calling me, and just got a "hang up".  My assistant answered yesterday and they asked for me.  When she told them I wasn't available, they said they'd call back.  They called back this morning, and when I answered, they hung up.  
I just reported them to the FCC, along with the link to this web site so they can see how many people are being harassed by these idiots.

They got $250 out of my husband and will not stop calling us now. No prize money, no car, just harassing phone calls. I left the house for 2 hours and came home to 20 missed calls on my caller ID. Everyone from these criminals.

A guy called and said, "Hi, grandma". I asked who is this and he answered "your favorite grandson". I told him my grandson is 3 weeks old and he hung up.

I get 2 to 3 calls a day from this number. No messages left. When I pick up,  there is silence until the line disconnects. We are on do not call list, and have unknown caller blocking  through out phone  service, but these calls get through. Strange that some people are getting legit calls from this #. Area code covers parts of Cook  and Will  counties,  IL. Please post if you find  a way to stop the calls.

I get a minimum of 8 calls per day from this number.  They asked for Clayton, barely audible.  Hard to understand.  I informed him, we have no Clayton here and never have.  I also stated firmly that I am annoyed at these multiple daily calls and to remove my number from their system and hung up.  They called back immediately and I didn't answer it.  They have called 3 more times in the last 4 hours.  How do I get them to stop?

I contacted VoIP via e-mail and received a reply that this is not their number. Response from the contact follows:  

We have verified in our system and this number 7207081000 is not with us, in fact we don't have record of ever had the number with our company. Unfortunately this situation is beyond our control since the number has not any relation with us at all. Thank you for your comprehension.
