- MeloneyThey called my cell and told me they had my checking and confirmed by giving me the routing # and the last four digits of my checking account. When they asked me to put a pin on the account, I told them this was bothering me and to just send me information. She hung up on me. I have already closed my account, put a fraud alert on my credit reports. I am calling the Federal Trade Commission right now to report it.

- RachelMy calls have been a lot like all the other ones on here. They started calling me 8 months ago. I didn't answer the first 5 times they called, but finally I did. They told me I was a "preferred customer" and that I had won a 4 day 3 night vacation. They told me my routing number and said they needed my checking account number. I got nervous and asked if they could call back later (I had no intention of answering when they called again). I could hear people yelling in the background. The woman that called said that unfortunately, there was no way they could call again...Even though they had already called 5 times. I hung up. I got a new phone and the calls stopped. However, the other day, they called again. Forgetting the number, I answered it, but no one was there. They called twice more, with the same story. I hung up. I really hope they don't get anyones information. These people make me nervous.

- bethThey called several times, but left no voicemail. I called back and heard a recording claiming I had won several gifts and I should press 1 to claim them. I hung up after reading these comments.:)

- Steve| 1 replyI was told I was being offered $400 in travel vouchers. It would be a membership in which I would pay $19.95 a month with a $40 activation fee, and I'd have to call the 800 number to cancel if I wanted to.
Randy! Please watch out for this mailing. It sounds to me as though they will consider you saying "mail it to me" as agreement to pay the activation fee and start making the monthly payments.
I asked her to elucidate the previous business relationship that I had with her company, since otherwise the call would be in violation of the do-not-call list. She said that I made a purchase with one of their direct partners. I asked her which one and she said she didn't have that information, they had more than 300 DIRECT partners.
So in other words, if you are a telemarketer, but you call the company you got the number from a "DIRECT PARTNER", you're not in violation of the do-not-call list! It's that easy! The FCC must be very embarrassed.
I actually only started getting these calls after traveling to Tampa last week. The only entities I did business with were Southwest, Marriott, and the Clearwater Threshers (i.e. Phillies spring training). So maybe that's a coincidence, maybe not.- Call type: Telemarketer

How dumb do they think we are? - CaroleI've been getting calls one or 2 times a day from 727-252-0514. The caller doesn't leave a voice message - ever. I suspect it's the same telemarketer/scammer. I did a reverse phone lookup on whitepages.com and found that it is a landline and it's a "Business Telecom" phone number in Clearwater FL.
- NickThey called again I managed to keep them on the phone for 30 minutes asking really dumb questions until they hung up. Perhaps they will leave me alone now. :-)

- MeganI got a call yesterday afternoon and then this morning at 7:34 am. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. There were no messages. I work in TV news, so maybe next time I'll tell them our investigative unit is going to look into this.
- JasonI just got a call from this number (727 252 0516). I had just emailed my number to someone i'd met on the internet (but i've chatted with them a while so i know they are a real person) just a few minutes before recieveing this call. I thought it might be them, but i didn't answer. No voice mail left. I always look up these numbers and it turns out i'm always getting calls from crooks. The funny thing is, i sent this email on MySpace. The last time i had trouble from scammers i had clicked on a link on MySpace (to get something free, even though i knew i wouldn't). I'm not saying MySpace has anything to do with it, but i'm starting to wonder about thier advertisers!
- AlexisThey have been calling everyday for the last week! I wish they would stop! Never leave an answer and just keep calling!
