- JoeCall your local unemployment office and find out what's going on
- JeaaGet calls about 2x per day from this number and 727 252 0514. They NEVER leave messages, just call and hang up. I also did a reverse lookup on whitepages.com and same results: "Business Telecom" in Clearwater FL. Really irritated as i've had identity stolen and go to great lengths to protect my information.

- Benjamin FriedFor what it's worth, a lot of people here are understandably unhappy and have their patience tried by these calls; I used a legal database i have access to in order to delve a little further, anticipating that if my request to be on a DNC list ("don't call me no more, no-how, please") isn't honored and further calls come to my cell, i'll have to get a little sticky and cite some examples to Suntasia and their legal counsel Mr. Booth mentioning the money a person can recoup from companies who fail to honor requests of 'Do Not Call.' Legally a company can contact you via random-digit dialing, or computer-generated dialing; This is experienced when you receive (hopefully not telemarketing-related) political polling calls or nonprofit donation requests. A company such as Suntasia (i.e. (727) 252-0516 amongst others) does need to heed your request, though, once you have advised them to be on DNC list. If you really wish to let a company know you're serious, you need to document when you request and receive acknowledgment from them (verbally) to be on DNC; if you see the number again in the future (31 days+ if you have officially placed yourself on the federal 'Do Not Call' registry), and have some time and a legal friend who might want to pro-bono for you, you'll want to hold onto those. Make it official via a call or online complaint to the Florida Better Bus. Bureau, and follow that up w/ some research of your own (a nice summation of Do Not Call info can be had here: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm ).
** Important! -- If you've purchased something from a company, sometimes you are 'opting-in' to receive propaganda/info/sales calls from them and associates. You'll want to make sure that -any company- you've had a dealing with shows you officially opting out of receiving marketing information, or releasing your info to others. Otherwise, without this, a company (such as Suntasia) can cite your contact information was used legally through a business transaction. If you have done the legwork and insured that any company you have a dealing with shows you as opting out/restricting sharing your information, and then you get a call later from a telemarketer, you've usually made yourself bombproof and shown enough diligence to merit a little early Christmas present if you decide to really push it and recoup some of your efforts via a formal complaint through the legal process via FTC/Fed. Govt. Yes, it takes some effort (quite a bit, actually) and your time might be better spent elsewhere, enjoying life - but i know some people who have paid for some nice Mexico cruises via taking companies to task who aren't above-board in their marketing practices. G'luck. ;) -Benjamin Fried, esq.- Caller: Travel Life Direct / Suntasia

- Terry RushI have been receiving phone calls from this number for the last week. I do not answer phone calls I do not know, have caller id, voice mail, and answering machine. The person's only message is "Terry" "Terry Rush" and that is it. Checked the reverse phone number and found it is telemarketing from Clearwater Fl. I don't know anybody in Clearwater, and my phone number is unlisted, so, It will continue to be unanswered.

- Vanessa727 252 0515 callS me twice a day; I never picked up and they never left any messages. Is there anything we can do to stop them?
- anisehthey have been calling me twice every day for the past 3 weeks.
I picked up once, a man told me about the whole travel/hotel deal.
I asked him if he was trying to steal my money.
He said no.
He asked for my accound number.
I asked him for his website and told him that I was not going to give him that information.
They are still calling me and driving me crazy.
I think they are calling from a home. I hear screaming and talking behind. - anonymousIt would be great if we all got together and started calling these guys once every day, like they do us. Imagine all the time they'd waste telling us about their scam.

- LucretiaI have gotten 2 call from this company and like everyone else they do not leave a message. I called back on the first one. They said I had won something and I needed to press 1 to claim it. I hung up. Mine were about a week a part. Glad to find info like this on the internet to help avoid scams. Thanks for the "DNC" advise Benjamin Fried I will try that if they call again.

- FranXDamn Noobs. They have been calling me twice a day for a week. My most recent online purchase was a 40 inch LCD Samsung TV from Amazon.com. I notice other people getting calls after Amazon purchases.
These guys are persistent and annoying. Good luck getting these vampires off our back!- Caller: Travel Life Go Direct
- EricI fell for this well maybe not yet...I went through with the phone call but after the phone call I researched on the internet and found this board...I immediatley withdrew all funds from my account and plan on closing my account as soon as my bank opens...the only question I have is if they try and bill me using my closed account can that mess up my credit ?
- JoeNo! It simply means that funds won't be there and they will get an "invalid account" response from your bank which means expect more calls from Suntasia's recovery dept. They call them "genies". Those are people who sit in a private office (away from all the noise in the dialer room) and call you back to convince you that you're missing out on a great deal. When they call you next time just mention to them that you are contacting your state attorney generals office and your own lawyer to file a complaint for harassment. The reason I say this is bc we were trained at Suntasia that if any customer ever mentions lawsuit, lawyers or anything related with courts, cease the call immediately. They don't want any trouble for their scam.

- BethI started getting these calls (multiple times a day) after making hotel reservations off of Orbitz.com. I didnt make the connection untill I read what Steve wrote. Dont think its only a mere coincidence....

I have a different number then some of the other poeople have but in my gut im am quit afraid that i made a drastic mistake. I am an older person and dont know what to do. I have a different number but I think it is still them. The numerer is1-877-777-2709. I called this am but I was on hold for some time. Can anyone give me something to do?

- Bob replies to Don GuyettThey called me too. They asked me what password I wanted to have to log into their site, and I gave them some random password I never used before in my life because I was suspicious. As soon as they told me to give them my bank account number I told them my bank tells me not to give out my account number to anyone. They told me 'it's not a secret number', it's written on all of your checks. Well.. that's 1 of the 2 numbers I'd never want to give over the phone (the other being my SS#). So I just hung up on them after saying I'm not interested.
- Dan replies to cinda faulkner| 1 replyYou should call your bank or credit card company and ask them to change your account number ASAP. Explain to them exactly what happened. This happened a long time ago to me and I eventually got my money back that was charged without my consent after filing a report with my Bank. They are usually good about this sort of thing since they want to protect their customers from fraud.
- KasJust got a call from this number, but, not recognizing it, I did not answer. After reading the first page of comments about this number, I intend to call my bank.
- heather replies to DanI had fallen for this scam last month. My bank said i would get my money back. Do you know how long it will take for that to happen? I had also gotten a new bank account and closed my old one.
