    REPOST:

I know this company very well b/c I use to work for them. Lasted about a year before I found out about their shameful business tactics. Many have got their money back but others were just taken.

If you are tired of the calls, send them a “certified” Cease and Desist letter (see sample below). Next, contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint with them b/c at least it assures you that Suntasia will have to respond. This is another thing they don’t like to do. It forces them to give a response to the BBB and thus give back the money owed if you were ripped off. Also contact your local media (IE new stations) and let them know about these crooks. They were exposed 3 times last year on tv by local news stations around the country.

Finally, whether you do or don’t get a response from Suntasia contact your local tv news station anyway. Most news channels in your area have a consumer complaint tip hotline. Go on the net and log on to their site. I know this would be a “juicy” story for them especially during the months of November, February and May b/c of the ratings period. They need unique stories to get their audiences attention.

I also suggest you file a complaint with your state attorney generals office and in Florida as well letting them know the situation. There was an active investigation which began in June of last year which I believe is still on going.

Below is a sample of the Cease and Desist letter you can use to make them stop calling you.

    Your Name
    Address
    Date

    Donald Booth
    Suntasia Marketing
    8751 Ulmerton Road,
    Largo, FL 33771

    Dear Mr. Booth:

I request that you CEASE and DESIST in your efforts to market your products to my phone (insert number(s) here). I am NOT interested in anything your company has to offer.

Also if you don’t comply with my request I will seek legal action against your company as well as contacting the local media and the Better Business Bureau. It is my personal policy not to deal with marketing companies that solicit over the phone without my consent.

You are hereby instructed to cease and desist any marketing efforts immediately by deleting my name, address and phone number(s) from your dialing system or face legal sanctions under applicable Federal and State law.

GIVE THIS LETTER THE IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IT DESERVES (scumbag is optional here)

    Cordially

    Your name here

    End of letter

    Note:

Make sure you sign the letter otherwise it is not legal. Also, make sure you certify the letter when you send it. This way you have proof they received it. One last thing, remember to list ALL the phone numbers in your home including cellphones so they don’t have a chance to slip through the cracks and call you.

PLEASE READ PRIOR POSTS SO AS TO NOT KEEP REPEATING EVERYTHING!

They actually did leave a voice message on my service, telling me that I had won several prizes and they wanted me to pay tax and "other gratuities"?? Right. I just deleted it and moved on.

This is the travel company that is under the umbrella of Suntasia Marketing. The "free" gifts are those crappy $100 gas and $400 travel vouchers. Now TAD could be operating on it's own and may have obtained your info from Suntasia. This is the company that markets the products you get calls for.

Suntasia Marketing will change names of it's umbrella companies at least once every year. For example, before TAD, it was known as Agents Travel Direct and Capitol Vacations before that. It is all a scheme to "keep things going" as they put it. They will continue to call you if you don't send them a cease and desist letter.

I called a "missed number" from my cell because I was expecting another call from Florida.  I got a bold woman who pulled up my name quickly from my caller ID number.  I got the same story, "a preferred customer... free vacation... please confirm you routing number..."  I'm amazed these folks can't be tracked down and caught by the phone numbers they use.

I received a call from 727-252-0514. They stated they had the last 4 digits of my checking account and they did. When I asked how they obtained this information, they said I made a purchase with one of their affiliate companies. This concerned me. I was also told any questions I had in regards to the company who gave out my info, I was to call 1-877-777-2709. When i called today the lady said I needed to write a letter to

Plus she gave me their web site address. I also found this page too.

I just noticed a "missed call" on my cellphone at the 727-252-0515 variation on the number...I didn't recognize it so I googled it, which led me here =)  I called the number back and it gave me some recorded message about being selected to receive some free gifts...  I had a choice to decline them, by pressing 2 so I did.  It said my cell # and to press 1 if it was correct.  I have a feeling that I might just have been confirming to them that it is an active # though, we'll see if I get any more bogus calls on it soon.  After pressing 2 a few times to confirm that I didn't want any more calls it did say my # would be removed within 24 hours...we'll see...

Very similar to those reported above. I stalled around about the routing number on my checking account and told them I did not want to use that account. I said I had another checking account in another state and she asked me the name of my bank. She hung up when I told her I was uncomfortable giving out that information. This is a phishing scam. She knew the name of my bank in my local area. I am goint to close that account right now.

Call from 727-252-0514 wondering how they got my info, said they had my account info but gave me the wrong numbers. Don't know how to get rid of them. I asked them to take me off the list and they said I would be billed 40 dollars to deactivate. They asked if I enjoyed the packages I had received (I haven't gotten anything)called back and talked to some guy named "Gary" he told me he would remove me from the list, I don't know how though considering he had no idea who I was, he then promptly hung up on me. I am kind of nervous, considering getting legal if they call again.

Pg 2 will let you know who they are, how they obtain your info and what you can do legally. Click below and you'll see it.

I called the number back and got a voicemail. It says "Thank you for calling back! We have been urgently trying to reach you because you have been selected to receive some free gifts. To claim these free gifts free of charge please press "1", if you would like to decline your free gifts and pass them on to someone else, please press "2"."
If you do not choose either one, it repeats, after two repeats another voice comes on that says "This is an invalid entry!" and it starts all over again. No identification of company name or anything like that, just the loop.
