- sharonI get multiple calls daily from this number and they never leave a message! I have caller ID and don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, as someone who knows me will leave a message. I just called the number back and it just rings and rings and rings. - Tired of Dataminers & Junk CallsHarris Connect Directory Office appears to be a very sneaky and sleazy publication (offline & online) company that basically specializes in snooping around in people's lives and publishing their private information, with or without their permission, in "Alumni Directories"... They are DATA MINERS and very heavyhanded. When you try to get them to tell you where they got your information, you get a long song and dance of "possible sources" including the Post Office, magazine subscriptions, and such B.S. What they really mean is that they bought your information from some other dirty dataminer (try ATT or online DataSearch outfits). Beware. If you get to talk to them, tell them to EXPUNGE ALL YOUR INFO from their databases or you'll end up in their directories--and possibly live to regret it.

- gilI have the same problem and will be filing a compalint with my state attorney general.
- SC_MikePostcards once a week, wanting me to call 877 870 4397 to update "important" info. I decide whats important to me, not anyone else.
Besides, I didnt like those people in HS and I like them less now. - cottontopThis # appears on my caller ID at least once a day. As with the other postings no one responds to the pickup. They want even leave a message on the answering machine. idiots!!! Very irritating when you want to release your fury on them!
- Teriann replies to Ray| 10 repliesI have had this number call me numerous times. I ahve told them NOT to call me as I am on a "no-call" list. I have picked up the phone and hung right bakc up...it does NO good. I think it is a scam to get information out of you. THey say they are calling about updating alumni data and the alumni they are calling about...I ahve never belonged to. These people need to get al life and leave others alone!!!!!
- TeriannThese people have called me numerous times...even though I tell the caller to take me off their list. I am already on a "do not call" list, so I am unsure why they can continue to call me. I WANT them to STOP!!!

- Mark replies to Teriann| 9 repliesI went to a military academy in Virginia and received a call from this same number.
It IS legit. Harris does prepare alumnae directories.
They may have a wrong number when they called you, but they are a reputable company. - Not Harris| 1 replyThey keep calling my work, many time more than once a day. Never anyone there, so I quit answering the phone. Decided to do a look up and found this site. Figured the best way to get them back was to set up a call forwarding rule, so when a call comes in from them I have the system immediately forward the call back to them. Maybe they'll get annoyed too! :)

- Bill replies to mary pThey are calling to confirm information about you but more importantly they are trying to sell you an alumni directory...either printed, on CD or accessible online. Follow the money boys...follow the money.
- HarveyThey are phonies. They say that the school I attended gave them my name and address, but when I called the school they had no knowledge of this company. Read on other blogs that this company wants you to give them an updated bio, then sell the book for $90 and publishes all the information you give them for free. Stay away from them. Attend your HS reunion or contact your school for a yearbook or where are they now. DO NOT deal with these scam artists.

- Jim replies to JasonI get calls from these people all the time and I don't answer because they don't answer. I assume they pay people to pick up the call when their system detects that I answered, but they're aren't checked for anything other than picking up the call. Their U.S. mail cards imply they are working FOR a particular school or group, but they simply try to SELL lists to such customers and they make money by the accuracy made possible by pestering the alumni.
A couple questions for Jason who thinks people are [***] for not wanting to be pestered with repeated phone calls: for you, how many times a week is an unacceptable number of interruptions? For most of us, 1 request to be left alone should be enough to result in no more interruptions. - RKThey have contracts with university to creatre Alumni phone directories....they have all my info yet they keep emailing and calling asking to confirm the same info over and over again....very annoying
Their recent contract is with Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario

- JulieMama replies to Mark| 2 repliesWell heads up. I never responded to any cards and all my husband did during one of their many phone calls was confirm what info they already had. Now we are receiving demand for payment of 99.41 stating they will file collection if we don't pay immediately. We never received anything from them. I have tossed their many mailings into the trash so if there has been any earlier billing sent I never saw it. I can't decide whether to reply or continue to ignore; whether their threat to file collection is just part of the scam.
- GlennThey send mailing and call me all the time. They try to contact you under the guise of putting together the alumni directory and "updating" or "confirming" your information. The reality is that they are trying to sell you the directory for around $100.
It seems like this is a school endorsed effort, who must get a cut of sales of the directory.- Call type: Telemarketer
