I want these calls to stop.

They will not stop calling my office number--and no one ever speaks.

Got this call today. The woman on the other end did not identify herself, but she tried to sound very official and convincing. She asked for my husband by name and said she hadn't had an update on him since 2006 and needed to update his info for an alumnae directory. We are from a very, very small town, so I thought it sounded scammy. When I asked her what high school, she said Robert E. Lee. I told her there are lots of schools called Robert E Lee and asked her which town, and she said in Midland, Texas. My husband is not from Midland and never has been. I asked her what year she had him down as graduating, and she said she didn't have that info. Just a SCAM to gather info and sell books. I detest these scumbags.

Since I never pick up a number I don't recognize, they just keep calling and never leave a message.  LOVE 800 notes.

Repeatedly get calls from Harris Pri Ani at work. Sometimes an "empty" voice message is left. No actual words - just dead air until there is a hang up.

They keep calling for my boss and get this, they say they are doing a BOY SCOUT alumni directory!  I confirmed with my boss that he was an Eagle Scout (going back over 50 years ago!), LOL...anyway, the man I spoke with a couple times is very pleasant...I took the information and told him my boss wasn't interested but he keeps calling. He seems harmless enough....

Stop calling my house

Just received a call from this number, but did not answer it -- they did not leave a voice mail.

Called my job...said they were from directory and to hold on the line so I could answer some questions. Yeah right! Oh and it was recording.

Called my job - no msg left. I have been caught by one of these scams before though!

Just left a voicemail - heavy breathing. Get a life, pal. Sounds like an over weight man walking up the stairs or doing some other inappropriate thing.

This number just called my office.  I answered only to have over 2 minutes of silence.  Caller ID says Directory Ofc and from the rest of your posts, it looks like I have many more unwanted calls coming...oh freaking joy.  I track all these calls and will file complaints for any additional calls.  To anyone giving out personal info over the phone to scam artists like these, hopefully you will learn from your mistakes and never give out personal info over the phone unless it's a legit company.  Legit companies do not behave like this scam and actually follow the rules and stop calling when you tell them to stop.    

To the poster using the r word saying that we gave our contact info to this company...first off shame on you for using that word and secondly, read the previous posts.  It's highly unlikely that people have given out their contact info to a scam outfit like this.  I know for certain that I have not.

Called at 8:54 AM, and didn't leave a message. Called back and went through the menu to be put on their do not call list.

This number calls my unlisted (and NEVER utilized; literally, it was included with a Time Warner bundle package and has been used a total of exactly two times -- no one has the number either) home line at the same exact time (7:55 PM Pacific time), without fail, daily.  

Since the phone they are calling is never used, the line is hooked up to a phone purchased at the dollar store, which means that whatever scammer/telemarketer/rude individual on the line is treated to a non-stop loop of continuous ringing - ending only when they decide they've had enough of it and hang up.  There is no answering machine.  

Like the rest of you, it shows up on my TV's caller ID as "DIRECTORY OFC" with a 757 Virginia area code.  I've never been a part of anything that would involve my participation or knowledge of whatever shady "alumni" publications they are pushing.  Sounds like a thinly-veiled scam for personal information fishing to me.

I neglected to mention, it is possible that they have my phone number and information from my misfortune of having my identity compromised back in late November 2011.  Pathetic scammers.

I called the number back from a blocked line and also chose the option to be removed from their calling list.  Apparently the fact that my number is registered on the "do not call" list has no bearing in this matter.

Hope the rest of you can get rid of these creeps too!

Get weird calls where someone calls from this number asks to speak to me.  When I say this is me, they hang up.

You people need to stop responding to these people.  Obviously several of you who wrote in are the same ones who keep phone scams a profitable business.

GET CALLER ID.  If you don't know who a caller is DON'T ANSWER.  The Do Not Call list is a JOKE.

Just got a call this afternoon on my work # from them.  No one spoke when I answered, but after researching here, and connecting the dots - it must be because I recently updated my profile on my alma mater's alumni contact page.
