I get calls from this place 7 or 8 times a day. I have a loan with Sallie Mae and I am working on my masters however they tell me I am late with my payment. I try to explain that I spoke with someone in April and they do not see record of that. I have yet to get an English speaking rep so and they told me that it is not harassment to call me at all hours and they cannot stop the calls as they are automated.

The first time i spoke with these collectors he wanted me to do a check by phone and I told him i didn't have a checking account and he said yes you do you have sent in 2 checks (basically calling me a liar) i said no those were money orders. He said they were going to call everyday until payment was made even after i told him i would not be able to make a payment until i rec'd my pay check. True to his word i get called usually twice a day. this morning at 8:13 i answered but just got hung up on. I would like the address to this company so i can send them a Notice to Cease Letter, does any one know the address?

This call comes in nearly every day and is displayed as MCC.  I finally decided to answer it and not say anything and they never say anything.  This needs to stop.

They call about 5 times a day, any time from 6am until 9pm. They just called now at 8:15pm. On a Sunday.

I have a payment that is a few days overdue, so I get it, but I can't pay it now and from the sound of it even picking up won't do anything.

This is effin annoying. I'm annoyed.

They keep on calling but I don't have a loan with them.  My thinking is that someone either stole my identity or someone put down my phone number.

They call my cell phone over 20 times a day... once every half an hour... I never pick up because I know exactly why they are calling. Today I recieved a phone call from my friend who was concerned about me because he got a call from a Janice Barns that I that I was in an emergency situation... now I'm 8 months pregnant so you can only imagine what he thought about that one.
They have to be breaking some sort of law with how they are harrassing people... sure they might be collecting a debt but still it does not make it right to be putting false claim on there.

Call me repeatedly throughout the day.  And it only started about a week and a half ago.  I don't answer and never return the call.  No messages have been left.  If it is Sallie Mae, I would like to know how they got my cell number since I never gave it to them.  They are now starting to call my home number and it comes up as MCC on the caller ID.  It's very irratating.

i also have student loans with sallie mae tried to consolidate because the monthly payment was too high. was told i need a co-signer. when i got the loan i did not need a co-signer. so i tried to make the monthly payments, but now with the sky rocketing gas price and my hours being cut at work there just going to have to wait till i get some money.

They call about once a month and never leave a message.

These people have repeatedly called my cell phone asking for Bonnie somebody-or-other.  I have told them numerous times that they had the wrong number, and today when they'd called for the third time, I told them that they needed to remove my number or else I would be filing a suit for harassment.  There's always a recording on the other end when I first pick up, which I've been told is illegal.

This caller has been calling our number for over one year - looking for someone who does not live in our home and none of us have had a student loan. We've told them over and over that the person does not live here and we do not know her - they just keep calling......

Calls numerous times and don't leave messages. Found out it's was Sallie Mae. I had taken care my situation long time ago. The agent was calling to collect a debt. Ummm. What part do they don't understand?

Yes, they will call from morning and late night. Until someone answer. I got fed up and changed my phone #. For a few months of peace. Than recently...tada...It's that damn Sallie Mae. I asked how they got my #. The agent said a friend. That is b.s.
Don't bother changing your number....they track you down anyway.

I have only recently gotten this cell phone with a new number on it and so far I've had at least one to three calls from 1-765-283-3176, I've answered a couple times to let whoever know that they are calling a wrong number but that doesn't seem to work.  My husband and I are retired and debt free so please, please stop calling us.  We owe you NOTHING!!!!!

Sallie Mae calles me an average of 8 times per day from 3 differant numbers but this is the one they use most often. If you answer you are plaved on hold to wait for the next available operater. Who calls you just to put you on hold?! This number just called me and it's 8:45am on a Saturday morning!

I answered the phone recently after receiving many calls with no message from the number.  The man on the other end asked me to verify my address and social security number, and when I asked who he was he said I had to verify that info in order for him to tell me who he was.  When I said I wasn't comfortable with that, he immediately interrupted me and said I had to verify or else he would mark me as refusing to comply.  I let him know I wasn't refusing, I just wanted to know who he was.  He became very agitated and said he didn't have to give me that info. I asked to speak to his supervisor, and recieved the same treatment!  I asked him for his address, and he said he couldn't give that to me unless I verified who I was.  When I asked him to verify who he was, he said he didn't have to do that, and that I know who they are and that I can see them call me 50 times a day if I want to know the number.  When I told him that calling someone 50 times a day is harassment, he said that he didn't say 50 times, even though he'd just said it.  It was like they were trying to pick a fight with me before I even picked up the phone - RIDICULOUS!! I do have business with Sallie Mae, but if they want to talk to me, they let me know who they are - these creeps are NOT Sallie Mae!

They just keep calling and calling...  I do have student loans with Sallie Maw but they are up to date so there is no justification for any type of "collections" action.

Just called the 888-2SALLIE number and spoke to Perry (employee number e55781) and told him that the calls from this number needed to stop, that they were in violation of the federal codes, etc...  He said "that will be easy enough to take care of for you"  I heard a few key strokes in the background and before I hung up with him I told him that I will do whatever it takes to stop these calls and if I get another one, I will call him back, that he had been warned.  Now, I'll see what happens...

They call at least 3 times a day and have been for about a month now. I don't have any loans and have never heard of this company. Its very annoying though especially before 8 am.
