To Future Readers: See the posts on page 26 from BigA and Mike Huntleton;  "There is no company by that name I could find, other than what BigA found.  Its called Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation and IF you have loans with them (which seems doubtful), then why would you get it wrong?"  It sure looks like this number is actively In Play by scammers.  Be VERY Careful!!

Wife got a call from this number. We have never had a student loan . EVER. We own everything we have, fully paid for. These people have bogus and recycled phone numbers given to them. And, that's pretty much all they've got for their fishing expeditions. So we just block the numbers that they "operate" under .Sounds like they've been at this for over a decade. Another Federal contract with no end. Wish them the best of luck though, you know, trying to hunt down folks that were handed a check without being able to identify themselves cannot be easy. They ought to start calling the members of Congress who set up this stupidity , and ask the "swamp" for the cash they gave away . Better yet, call Venezuela see if anyone picks up the phone about student loan money diverted etc .They could set up shop in Caracus.  Hey, they might get lucky although the lights / phones, water, food & freedom  there are out, for the forseeable future ! They don't have phone numbers "given" to them, they just spoof any number they want. As for the rest of your rambling post, you DO realise these are scammers and not a legitimate loan servicer.

They are Great Lakes, one of the student loan processing companies in the US. They keep calling but never leave messages. If they have your personal email, they will email you as well talking about how much you owe on your payments. If they don’t have the email, then they leave voicemails. They got a hold of my parents when I never responded to any calls or anything. They are legit. It’s juat loan payments

They call from different telephone area codes like illegal [***] trying to get to you.

Even though I have a student loan through Great Lakes, they do not call me, but instead use the email address on my file, which is what the scammers claiming they are legitimate are looking for amongst other information, likely whatever they can get.

Shill alert! Why would you look up this phone number when you already knew who called you? And why can't they ask you to confirm you're the right person by asking for your loan/account number instead of your Social Security number?

They claimed that I owed them students loan money if I don't pay asap , I will never be able to get any jobs,  unable to get tax refund  , unable to get a good credit,  wages garnishment,  police harrassment traffic tickets against me ..

Wow, these guys are all-powerful if they're able to prevent you from getting a job and make the police give you traffic tickets. And how can your wages be garnished if you can't get a job? Stupid scammers.
