- GaryHello friends,
These calls are not sales calls always, sometimes it is a courtesy call or just an update about your Dell computer. - tworoadsI received 2 calls from this number today saying they wanted to confirm my purchase of a Dell laptop computer. I did not order nor have I ever ordered a Dell computer. The caller said his name was Samuel, and asked a lot of questions. When I said I would not answer his questions, but would call him back to confirm it was really Dell, the number he gave me was bogus. I will report it to the FCC.

- AnnoyedI received a call on Thanksgiving. I told the caller that it was a holiday. She said that she didn't know what I meant. She then said that she was calling to confirm that I had recently placed an order. I had not.

- BoneheadsIt's Dell calling. "You need our extended warranty to protect your investment." They will also call under the number 800-847-4045. If you have had any dealings with them in the last 3 years it is leagal for them to call you, Cell phone or not. I simply do not answer the phone anymore when I see their number. Dell needs to understand that they are simply pissing people off when they call 3 to 6 times a day. I feel sorry for the person that finds me in a bad mood one day.

- PeteTwo nights ago I received a call at 12:30AM on my cell phone from 1-800-289-3355. They asked to speak with some guy I've never heard of before. I said, "You have the wrong number do not call this number again." They called again the following afternoon asking for another name I didn't recognize. I told them again they had the wrong number and hung up the phone. They they just called again today for the third day in a row. I simply ignored the call. I don't understand their reason for calling me. They aren't even trying to sell me anything they just ask to speak to names of people I don't know. Weird and annoying!!
- SusanI have now been a victim of Identify Theft twice through Dell since 2007. When I received a phone call Tuesday from them I was furious, told them I didn't open an account, why would do that when I have been a victim of Identify Theft thanks to Dell in 2007! cancel the account NOW. Today I received confirmation in the mail of a Dell Preferred Account with a $3000.00 limit at 29.9%. I can't even get my home refinance or get another credit card if I tried! My credit history is Good but I am maxed out on 2 credit cards already. I have no available credit therefore I am not a good candidate for any credit, yet DELL approved it.
I called and after hours of being put on hold, hung up on when I mentioned I didn't open the account this is ID Theft etc etc. The first time this happened I was taking care of my Father who was dying and my daughter having tumors removed. I was treated horribly by Dell, they made me feel like I purposely opened the account bought computers and shipped them to NIGERIA myself, then claimed Identify Theft. All affidavits had to be notarized and several times they claimed they never received the papers I had sent to them. I missed hours of work making police reports etc etc etc. And now DELL has allowed someone else to open an account in my name, through a false yahoo email address. The only good thing if you can call it this time is no one has charged anything or tried YET!
What gets me the most is where is homeland security, how can Dell allow numerous computers to bought by American citizens and shipped to Nigeria and other countries? And how can I get credit with Dell and be turned away every where else.- Caller: DELL
- AngryDellCustomer| 1 replyI bought a new Dell laptop from BestBuy at the end of September.
On Halloween, I noticed that the screen kept flickering and dying out.
I contacted Dell through their "chat with a tech" program. He decided it needed to be sent to the depot.
I did.
Got it back, and it worked fine for a few weeks, despite the fact that there is a red wire hanging out of the hinge.
I figured.. it works... so... I'll deal.
THEN last week, the screen started to malfunction again.
So I got on their chat thing again, and AGAIN I have to send my computer to the Depot.
They sent me a box.
I haven't had time to mail my computer back to them (it's a rather inconvenient time, as I use my computer for work), so tonight - at 11:13 p.m. on a SUNDAY one of their techs calls to see if I got their box.
I said, "Do you realize you're calling me at 11 o'clock at night?"
and he said, "I'm sorry, ma'am, I'll call you tomorrow."
And hung up.
These guys are idiots and I'll never buy Dell again.- Caller: Dell Depot

- anonymous replies to JoshIt is Dell. They have a moronic, emotionally stunted person in charge. He has arranged for the stupidest, most annoying phone greeting I've encountered. It's an ear-splitting noise followed by the '50s song Lollipop. They just called me and when I answered, no one responded. I hung up and they called back a few minutes later. I think there's some sort of delay, maybe they're using VoIP. Their technical support is located in India. That's who called. It was a follow-up to a chat session I had with them last night.
- LeaI keep getting calls at random times and when I answer it's either dead air and quiet or it's elevator music playing.
- ts13209I was on an online chat with Dell to diagnose an issue with a laptop. The agent told me he needed to continue the chat by calling me directly to talk over the phone to finish the diagnosis. A few seconds later my phone rang and it was him. The caller ID said "Unavailable" along with the number. This was a legit call.

- INLUVI had to contact Dell regarding faulty keyboard that came with computer that I ordered last year. The rep decided that they would send me a new keyboard because we could not troubleshoot mine to work. Then he reminds me that our warranty is up in 3 months, which I am well aware of. He then proceeds to ask me what type of payment I would like to use to buy extended warranty! I politely told him that when we are ready to purchase that we would contact Dell. He then kept repeating how important it was to keep a warranty on my computer! I told him No and please do not ask me again. That is really none of HIS business. So he placed his supervisor on as required follow-up on tech calls. The supervisor asked how my experience with the tech was and I relayed to him that I felt pressured re: warranty. Supervisor then said to purchase whenever I am ready and then apologized. Guess what! The crazy Tech just called my home back to back re: the warrant. The first time he left a message. The second time he just hung up without speaking. WEIRD! I will call and complain if he calls back, if I don't burn up his ears first. THE NERVE!

- JABI've been getting these calls over the past couple of days and I haven't had Dell in years. I've been ignoring them, but I'm always worried that someone has stolen my ID. Should I keep on ignoring them?
