800-333-3474 "Dish" on Caller ID Dead Air call. Probably another Dish/DirecTV Scam call spoofing a real number
this time. The 3rd I have gotten in 3 days.

From what I have heard, they find out if you are a customer of Dish/DirecTV, or really any TV service you name,
then they promise you a really cheap rate to get every possible service offered. They get your personal details and
Credit Card info, or sometimes insist you pay with an Amazon gift card... The big catch is you have to sign up for 6
months, or a year of service at one time...

If you fall for that, they call your provider, spoofing your number and pretending to be you by verifying all your personal info, then they say they want to upgrade the service... So, until you get the next month's bill you don't
realize they screwed you, and when you call this number, the one they spoofed, you get Dish Network, who you
never actually talked to, and they can't help...

If you are lucky, you only get ripped off for a few hundred bucks. If not, then they drain your credit cards, your
bank account, set up new cards in your name, and leave you with a stolen identity and hundreds of thousands
in bills...

So, when they call, waste as much of their time as possible, and make their job as miserable as possible...
Don't just cuss them out, they'll just hang up and call another victim, no, be creative, pretend you are interested,
or drunk, or distracted. If you can send them to a robot to waste time, do it!

Hopefully we can eat into their profits enough to get them to stop....

Call came through at 1:00 PM 5/6/18 on my cell. This is Sunday-Dish Network. I did not answer, thank goodness my mailbox was full, so they can scam someone else.The company is a rip-off and are very rude. Use Net Flicks instead, they are cheaper & you are in control.

Just received a call at 8:50 pm. Silence. Wtf? I.d. was Dish network.

Ask if I have Dish TV then hangs up after I unfortunately said the "Yes" word. Call bank and Dish to report it. Did not sound like an English first speaker. Bank advised to check all accts next 30 days.

No message when asked to leave one. Plus on the DNC list but that never stops these telemarketers. 35 pages of comments. You gots to be kidding me. Plus I get letters from Dish in the mail but no one in my house speaks Spanish- ltr goes into shredder. Blocking nr.

Call at 633p mdt Thu 17 May. Did not answer. No voice mail.

Call at 1119a mdt Fri 18 May. Did not answer. No voice mail. 2nd call in as many days.

After reading some of the comments here, I'm glad I already blocked calls from 800 numbers.  If this is a scam...too bad.  If this really is DISH network, shame on them for calling at 6:31am.  Talk about RUDE!  So glad I can't even hear the bell when the number or area code is blocked.  ;)

Asked what t.v service I had. I said none , I work too much.He said he is looking for a wife, some one to suck his D####. I was verbally RAPED. He assaulted me.

Indian caller claimed to be Dish Network and wanted to upgrade my receiver. Initially I was driving but they called me back 15 min later, waiting for me to get home. They claimed they needed to upgrade my receiver with $1000 software that works with new frequencies that aren't affected by bad weather. They said they would give a $20 discount on my bill because I was such a good customer, but I had to pay a $200 (refunded in 6 months) security deposit. Of course, they couldn't just charge my account, I had to give them a pre-paid credit card for the $200. That is when I really started messing with them. The problem is I gave them the last 4 of my SSN, but I gave the wrong security code. They knew my name and address. I immediately called Dish to let them know.

I no longer answer my Phone, as it is useless.

Caller ID says DISH Network. Caller says she is from DISH network. But I don't believe the call is actually coming from DISH. These are scammers spoofing the number and lying about being DISH network hoping to get ahold of actual DISH network customers who might fall for this scam. Do NOT give them any information.

This jerk called me befor 8"00 A.M. on Sunday morning.  =.  Information on other google web sites indicates this is not Dish  network but some spamming  jerk that needs to get a life.
