These people called and claimed they were Dish, then they said they were Directtv. They tried to get me to pay a $175.00 technical service fee. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!

The no call list makes these people a criminal.

Could hardly understand the lady calling. Very bad English. Something about the Dish satelite not working. She asked if I was a Dish customer and I said yes. ( I'm Not-Just messing with them. ) She kept repeating and I kept saying " I don't understand." She gave up and said " Have a nice day ! ". I sure will ! I've read complaints about this scam for years !

Mark from Directv has called me 4 times.    Says my receiver won't work in a few days as the satellite it is connected to is down.   The more questions he asked me I knew this was a scam call.

The caller claimed to be from Dish Network.  He said he believed I use Dish. I replied that if he was with Dish he would know if I have an account with them.

I also received a call supposedly from Dish Network using this number. The caller stated I would have to pay $200 and change for an upgrade on my satellite. He wanted a credit card number that I refused to give him. After I hung up, I called Dish Network at this number and they advised it is a scam and not to talk to them again. I have been a customer for 16 gyears.

They call very early in the Morning, they don't ever leave a message. I could hear someone breathing on my recorder. I read the previous comments, I don't think that it is Dish Network- I think it is a phishing scam. Do not give out your information! And do not speak to them at all!

Received call today from 1-888-333-3474...thought it might be DISH, so I picked up. Too long of a delay and lits of call center style background noise.  Hung up. Now I know about this game. Thanks, everyone!

DISH NETWORK called and asked if I was using DISH. I said no.... they said are you using DIRECT TV. I said I was but cancelled it... then they changed their approach and said call was about DIRECT TV. (even though the CALLER ID stated DISH NETWORK  800-333-3474).

When I told them I cancelled my DIRECT TV and wasn't interested... and I hung up.

Then called me back and I questioned why the caller id showed DISH NETWORK... but they were calling to discuss DIRECT TV.

I again hung up... then called back a 3rd time. When I told them I was reporting them to the Attorney General of NC... They told me to [***] OFF and GO TO HELL.  Then they hung up on me.

I have been getting this call quite a bit. First time, man with a heavy Middle Eastern accent said he was from Dish Network. I said I don't have Dish, and he said, "Oh, sorry, Directv". I waited (I do have Directv) and he said for a small fee I could upgrade my current program package to full service, all I had to do was give him my credit card #. I said I wasn't interested and he pushed. I said "No thank you" and hung up. Now they know I have Directv so they keep calling. I don't bother answering and they've stopped leaving a message.

Did they actually try to sell you Dish services?   They called us too.  We don’t use caller ID anymore, because they can spoof the information, making it look as though it comes from a valid business.  I kind of doubt that Dish Network would risk it’s business by doing something this illegal.

These guys are creepy! They called pretending to be Fish Network and when I told them I don't have a tv the guy on the phone asked if I was single or married. He stated he was interested talking to me. I hung up and an hour later he called back from a different phone number asking if I was available to talk.... Ugh! CREEPY!!!!

Received a call from this # showing as Dish.  The person had a foreign voice and I told him I couldn't understand what he was saying.  He had my name and address and said that I was a good customer.  I kept telling him I couldn't understand what he was saying.  Said something about giving me a $20 credit on my bill because I was a good customer.  I hung up on him and told him I wanted to talk to someone who spoke english.  He called back and I kept explaining I couldn't understand him.  I hung up again.  I didn't give him any information.  Did verify name & address but bill is in husband's name.

Getting several calls from this number with no voicemail. I'm reluctant to answer with the complaints.
