They may claim to be Dish Network, but they have no idea who is a customer. We have never subscribed and they wanted to upgrade our “box.” My husband played along with Daniel from Denver and his supervisor and made up serial numbers, etc. After they claimed to have completed the upgrade (on what?!), they wanted $170. Frauds if you ask me.

The above number calls 3 or 4 times a day.  I tried answering to tell them not to call but no one answered

This is still the Dish network.  Scumbags called me today.  I have been on the DNC since it began.  I have NEVER knowingly reached out to this company.  Ever.

I have no dish, need work done now.  Help.

Maybe you should call them instead of replying to an eleven year old post?

Caller ID said DISH Purchasing so I answered in a very uninterested tone... may I help you, he replied Hi, it's Joe from Dish, I replied.. AND then he hung up. We don't have DISH we have cable.

Just check out the number of pages of posts They go back not just a week or two but years

Call received at my office, I answered...they hung up.

Used CID TOLL FREE CALL, no message left.

Called our business line, asked how I was, and I answered, so I know he heard me. Started to talk about Dish TV, I told him our guttering company had no need for Dish. Slight pause, then he asked "can you hear me?". Knowing that he heard me previously and there is a scam trying to elicit a "yes" on a recording, I hung up.

Call came in, ID said toll free, so I did not answer.  Left no message.   A check of the number shows Dish Network; so probably being spoofed.

Got call from 1-800-333-3474.  They're pretending to be Direct TV to ask for account information to "download" software into the receiving unit.  They asked me to confirm all my data and I gave all the info wrong, and they didn't even notice.  They say NASA is changing the satellite orbit and that will affect customers.  They ask for credit card info to finalize downloading software.  I know it's spam, so I kept them busy for a good 15 minutes to avoid them calling someone who might not know its spam.  Hung up on me when I told them I had reported them.

Received call at 9pm on a Saturday night. Hang up when I picked up. Am a cable customer. Live in an area where satellite is not available. Will report to FCC when I finish speaking with a “representative”.

While it might actually be DISH, it's far more likely that scammers are spoofing DISH's number

I had a Directv cable  transfer from one house to another.  The guy that installed it in one of the houses for me used my phone to call this 18003333474 number...after reading all the comments, now I’m suspicious as to why he wanted to use my phone to call this number!  When he returned my phone to me he asked me to erase this number from my phone but I managed to retrieve it and found all this out about this number 🤷🏽‍♀️

Received a call from this number at 11:00 pm.  Woke me up from a sound sleep.  I thought it was an emergency call thinking someone was hurt.  Dish would never get any buisness from me or anyone associate with me.  Bad business and rude calling that late.

Received a call from this number and I guy that I couldn't understand, asked me something about TV. I blew a whistle in his ear since I feel that he was trying to scam me. Doubt if he will call back.
He's probably cleaning ear wax the fm of he pis phone receiver.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this 8003333474 number. My caller I’d shows Dish Network so I answered only to find a very pushy person stating my equipment was outdated and would need to be replaced very soon. They said the costs of the service call would be worked out through credits and refunds on my bill. It seemed so legit but the guy was so pushy I said no but would do some research, it just seemed not quite right.  I called the number on mydish statement and was told NO it was not a legit Dish network call. Scary that they can hack caller ID info to make people believe.

I answered. They hung up. I understand this is a scam
