Called but left no message

The last two or three days I have been getting two or three calls per day from "Toll Free Number," but with various phone numbers.  I'm sure these calls are all from the same caller.  The most recent call came in at 2:58 pm on April 4, 2018.  This was my second call from them today.  The caller did not leave a message even though my answering machine was on.

If this was a legitimate call wasn't it worth the caller leaving a short message?  I would think so.  And don't all legitimate businesses use their business name for their caller ID?  Probably.  After all, aren't you going to tell your customer the name of your business so you can execute a transaction?

All these 'Toll Free Number' calls do is advertise that it is a telemarketing call - at least a far as I am concerned.  I guess they're too unimaginative to come up with anything more interesting - like Acme Company or Smith Industries.

Perhaps I should have mentioned in my previous post that I live in a condo community and the condo associations supplies the owners with DISH television.  There is no reason for anyone from DISH to be calling condo owners so this looks like a ridiculous scam.

They identified themselves as Dish Network and had a very strong East Indian accent.  Said that they will be 'repositioning their satellites, blah, blah, blah.  It is NOT Dish Network and they do not reposition their satellites; they are scammers.  I told them that they are full of crap and to never call me again!  Then I blocked the number which is 800-333-3474.

Look in your phone book for their number.  The 800 number you were given no longer belongs to Dish but to some scammers posing as Dish representatives.

They are scammers and the only way to get rid of them is to block their number from your phone or to blow a very loud police whistle in their ear when they call you.  It is painful and they most likely will not ever bother you again.

Block their numbers on your phone.

Call your credit card company and file a complaint against the charge.  They will hold the charge for 90 days, don't pay the charge even if appears on your bill.  After 90 days the charge will be expunged from your bill.

34 pages should be your first clue

This is a scammer using an old DISH number.  Block them.

They are calling Hawaii residences at unspeakably early hours of the morning. I did not call back but Googled the Number to find Dish Network is at fault. I am not one of their customers

This is not Dish Network calling.  THIS IS A SCAM.  They are mining your information to steal your identity.  BEWARE.

I got at least 3 calls from this number 800-333-3474 two days in a row at 7:30 in the morning. After viewing most comments, I'm definitely not going to answer one if they end up calling back.

This number Dish called me Jan 7-18 at 5:50 am. I took a picture to show i was not nuts ok they said sorry they would take me off list.  Today is April 19 at 7:30 pm and the phone rang twice then stopped. Prior to the early call in Jan they called every week. I just get so tired of all this. We do not answer unknown calls but they make ya look so irritating bye thanks for letting me vent.

Called three times today, I blocked them.

They called my 92 year old grandmother at 11pm, harassing and confusing her. I called them and told them to stop trying to scam her, and I also blocked their number. Definitely not Dish Network.

I received a call from 800-333-3474. Please put me on the 'DO NOT CALL" list. Thank you.

You have to do that yourself at the Do Not Call Registry page which can easily be found by putting that into a search engine.
