when i recieved the call the man on the other side said that he want to talk to Zeeshan.i told him that it is my number not of zeeshan.then he told me that he is calling from usa .he appologized me cutt the call

A man from Dish Network asked if I was the account holder, and we have never had an account. They had my family's maiden name so I was able to say no one lived here by that name and to stop calling. He continued to ask for my name and I told him he had no business knowing it. Then he proceeded to say I have a lovely voice and asked to be my friend on Facebook. I told him I would be reporting him to the FTC for calling my number, and he insisted that it wouldn't do anything. He may be right, but I'm reporting it to them anyway. I also asked to speak to his manager and he claimed that he was the boss. His name was "Nick Stewart" and he claimed to be opperating out of the "Dish Network Equipment Department in New Jersey"

DISH has tried to withdraw funds from my bank account without authorization, I have reported them to the BBB as well as filed a complaint with my bank. These people need to be stopped with their shady business practices.

800-333-3474 is a legitimate number that belongs the Dish Network.   I got a call 6/23/2015.   I had trouble understanding the guy and he finally ask if I was a Dish customer and I said no. He said OK and than hung up.  So I will not be reporting him under the circumstances.

However, it could be a scammer is using one of Dish Network numbers to rip people off.    When I know the number is legitimate than I will report this caller to the company.    I had to report a scammer a while back to her telephone company and never got anymore calls from her.  Wow, that broad was so stupid.

I was told i would loose dish services if i didn't put up a 150 dollar deposit for a new set up. They knew my account number, my email address,  my last 4 digits of ss number! I hung up on him and called dish, they said it was a scam! But my caller id said  dish network!  They have called my home number and cell nuber 6 times in the last 3 days!

bangladesh or india for sure. dish  i called them and was informed i would need to talk to someone else to be placed on the do not call list.'i said i am already of the do not call list... how ignorant are you?

just talked to them again- he was calling from the phillipines

Same thing, someone from India. He even starting singing on my voicemail...

Just got a call from 800 333 3474. Figured I'd check here to see what everyone says. Sounds like typical Indian scammers using Dish Network as a front. I just blocked the # so I won't get another call from that #. Screw them.

Pretty sure their scammers. I would call their bluff. Say go ahead and see what happens. Nothing I'll bet.

Just got the 5th call in 2 days. Same guy called finally identifying himself as being w dish not just w our "satellite company" needing to ck our box and TV for upgrade. When I told him I didn't have Dish he yelled at me for wasting his "time".  Then hung up on me.  Someone called right back on another scam #3470984242 but didn't say a word. Same guy? Hmmmmmm.

This is not Dish network calling. They left a message on my phone saying my card on file was about to expire and to call the above number 1-800-333-DISH. I called back and the woman that answered said "hello, this is Dish, how may I help you." When I told her the issue and that our remote wasn't working she said she could not handle the technical aspect but she could handle the payment. She then mentioned that she could save me money by switching to Direct TV !!!!!This is so illegal I did not give her my cc info but WOW

Got a call from this number yesterday.  I picked it up because CID said it was Dish Network, which we do have for satellite TV service (will never go back to cable).  There was so much background noise and the caller had such a thick accent, I could not make out what he was trying to say.  When I told him I could not understand him, he told me to wait a minute, but I just hung up.  They called back within a minute, but I didn't answer.  Now, after reading all these complaints, I am glad I didn't.  I am sure this is some kind of scam!

POTENTIAL SCAM ALERT
I received a call from a foreign man at phone number 800-333-3474. He had a thick accent and told me that they were moving the satellite so I would lose my Dish service if I didn't do some maintenance while on the phone with him. He asked me to start pushing buttons on the remote. I didn't think it sounded right, asked him how I knew he was from Dish and he said he didn't understand what I was saying. I told him to call back later. I called dish and was told that they keep logs of every call to us, there was no information in the log that they called today. She also said they don't normally have a person call, it is automated unless they are responding to a previous issue. She didn't know about the dish moving either. She said to ask for their operator ID number when they call and ask them what my account number is. He did not ask for any personal information and I kept him on the phone for a while, I have no idea what they can get out of me by moving my dish coordinates but I'm not doing it!

The caller ID was "DISH PURCH CORP", however DISH network confirmed they have no record of calling me and it it's fraud call.
