- TakebackUSAI get these calls as well..........Thank You Time Warner who unbeknownst to me, gave me a USED phone number, previously issued to from what I can tell at least THREE dirtbags who never paid their bills!!!! So yah, I now get the calls looking for people I have never heard of. One thing I did was buy a Panasonic phone/answering machine with "call block". Once you have the number in your caller id, you can enter it as a number to be blocked and when they call again, you merely hear one ring and then it stops, blocking the call. A very useful option! Ive called the company that makes these calls but they still keep coming. Ain't it great!!!!!!!!!

- HopefullWe just bought a cell phone for my daughter a few weeks ago. Someone from this number was calling her everyday. I finally called the number and it was a collections agency. I told them my situation. She asked if I knew the person who had the number before us (she had a name), I didn't know them. She said ok, it takes 48 hours to make the change. That was easy enough. Hopefully we will not have any more calls after 48 hours.

- Hopeful replies to confused and annoyedCall the number like I did. They were calling us at 8:30 every morning. Once I told them we just got our phone, she took us off the list. But it will take 48 hours.... we'll see.
- Ray DeloozeHave been receiving calls from this number on my cell phone for several days now, So today I called the number and spoke with a lady - no name given and told her that their system has been calling my cell phone for some female named Presnell somebody, I told her not at my cell number. She asked me for my cell number which I gave her and there was a hang up. Obviously this is a scam.
- MacAn automated voice is asking for Ryan McCloud. Never heard of him.

- KatThis number has been calling my inlaws' number and harassing them for over a month now, despite the fact that we have not lived with them for over FOUR YEARS now. Telling them does not help; I am about to fax them a stern Cease and Desist letter and see if that helps. I'm really fed up with their inability to understand simple instructions, such as "He does not live here so please take my number out of your system." I almost hope they continue so my mother-in-law can press charges for harassment!

- KatUpdate: I did fax them a cease and desist letter, two nights ago. They called again this afternoon. Luckily, I have one of their bills laying right here and it shows several things. One item is a balance on service provided by their client (Time Warner Cable), erroneous as we cancelled and paid up service to that date (thinking they never cancelled in their system). The second item is a cable modem which we REFUSED at the time of installation, as we owned our own modem/router and did not need their junk modem. The third item is three cable remotes, which were surrendered to the tech who rang the bell and collected our boxes and modems. Time Warner Cable REALLY needs to get their act together.
I'm going to send them a follow-up letter, indicating that they violated federal debt collection laws by attempting to contact us this afternoon. I am enclosing the original letter faxed two nights ago; the fax transmission report showing its successful transmission; and the original bill from them identifying the erroneous charges. I am threatening legal action; and I can and WILL follow through on that with the FTC and the NC Attorney General, should CMI contact us again. This bundle of papers will be faxed, AND sent via certified mail with signature required. I'm not playing around anymore.- Caller: CMI

[Insert your name here] - Vicky MilesThis number calls me with a prerecorded message about 5 times per day. I do not know the person they are asking for, I have informed them I don't know the person. I don't know why they have my phone number, but they refuse to quit calling. If I actually talk to a person at the other end, as soon as I try to explain I don't know this person, they will hang up on me and instantly call back using the recording, please make it stop!!

- meme replies to The ObserverI live alone now and owe no dept hubby passed on and they keep calling what should I do?
- Sherry replies to very annoyedThis # calls me at least 3-4 times a day. When I answer, no-one is there, so I hang up. I am so tired of being interrupted while in the bathroom, on the computer or trying to do a small task. Every ingle day. It's one thing to call someone about a debt, but the least they could do is say...something. If they are a debt collector, what is the point of calling if they do not talk? This is getting to be very upsetting, as I'm on disability due to serious back problems and I'm am tired of jumping through hoops 4 times a day to answer a call that does'nt even say anything at all.
Thank you for hearing me out. Now, what should I do? I'll check back tomorrow, if anyone has an answer for me. Thank you.
