Calling them back is a great option as it does allow you to remove your name from the list. It was easy and took me a couple minutes. Hopefully it works.

yes today i received the call but my young son answered and they asked him if he was 18?lucky he is not and know the phone rules

If  you call the number back the automated attendant that answers confirms your phone # and then asks if you would like to be removed from their calling list.

I just called the number back, pressed 1 for English, then after listening to their Gemma Communication blurb, was able to have my number removed. But this is the second time I've had to do so...

They just left a message on my answering machine...thought it was a prank call.  All I could hear was heavy breathing from the caller and the noise of the rest of the call center in the background.  This was actually kind of creepy, not just annoying.

I just got a call now but missed the call and noticed it was from a 1-800 number so thought I would check it out. I looked up Gemma Communications
and called there Toronto office and asked to by put on a do not call list. The lady said my number would be wiped out from all their systems, so we'll see. Here is the info.

I am with Rogers and I received one on my cell

I know.  I have the same thing...It called me and then hung up when i said hello.  it's so rude and annoying.

They've called me twice this week and it's only Wednesday.  After looking up the number here I called the number back.  It's a recording asking you if you want to be removed from the calling list.  The recording also give you website information.  www.gemmacom.com   Hope this information helps.  If they do call, listen to what they have to say and then if the offer does not appeal to you say no, they will try to rebut you.  Again listen to the rubtal as they will give you more information on the product. You can go on like this for a while if you want.  If after you hang up from the call and they continue to call you can politely ask them to take your number off the calling list.  CRTC law mandates that marketing companies have up to 30 days to remove numbers from their lists.  The rep on the phone will explain this again be paitent and listen.  One thing we have to remember is that the person on the other end of the phone is just trying to make a living and bring home a paycheck just like you and I.

Hi.  May I speak to (my legal name).  (Pause)  Thank you.  (Hangs up.)

I keep getting calls from this number as well... very annoying... especially getting calls late on a saturday night!! who does that anyways??

Calls me every couple of days on my cell phone, I finally picked it up and said hello twice. Nobody was there but they also didn't hang up. ANNOYING.

Forgot to say that I'm on Rogers cellular service as well, just saw some other posters on here saying that. Must be a targeted phone block.

I got a phone call from 800-391-9462 around 7:30 p.m today. I answered the phone and no one was on the other line. I'm with Telus. So annoying. I was taking a nap & it woke me up.

Happening frequently for the past couple of weeks. I'd like to shove a phone down their throats

This number (800-391-9462) has called me at least twice a week for the past month. Answered it a few times and there was no one at the other end.  It's very annoying.
Today I called the number back and tried to get my number removed from their database.  Will have to see if this works.  If I get more calls from this number I will have to file an official complaint.
