- RobThese guys call me twice a day and every time I answer there is nobody there. I've tried ignoring the calls for the past 2 weeks but they still call. I've tried the trick where you pick up and press and hold a number key but that doesnt work.
Finally today I thought I would ppick up and just listen. Dead air for about 45 seconds and then some girl comes on and says HELLO. Of course I say nothing. She Says HELLO again. Hello and then another Hello. She does not introduce herself, she just says Hello 5-6 more times and then Finally Says, Thanks for Calling Rogers and hangs up. - AbbyRoadI registered a complaint with the CRTC. Calling in the middle of the f*cking night is absolutely unacceptable.
- fed upthis number keeps calling my house and when you answer it sound like an answering machine
- calgary businessDead air calls. Another auto dialer gone mad!!!
- herb replies to Dwrogers. you can request to have your number removed. why was it on there in the first place!
- Anonym| 1 replyHave been receiving calls from 1-800-395-8813 for months at least 5 times a day. They called today (a Saturday) at 3:31pm and then at 4:27pm. The 4:27pm one I answered, and just after saying hello I heard a click on the line and some woman was on the phone. I asked who she was calling for and what she wanted. Told me she was calling from Gemma Communications on behalf of Rogers. I am a client of Rogers and told her that if I needed anything I would call them myself. I asked her to take me off her list and she said she would do so (like MANY times before without ANY SUCCESS).
I then immediately called them back (1-800-395-8813) and the automatic voicemail mentionned that if I wanted to stop all the calls I would need to dial 1-888-ROGERS1. I did. I then spoke with a guy and told him that as I client I was more than fed up with this whole situation. He said he would need to fill out a form to make all the calls stop permanently. Told me it would take about one day to process my request.
Hope this will work. Will keep you posted.- Caller: Gemma Communications for Rogers

- Tired in Ajax replies to AnonymLet us all know how this goes for you. I have been receiveing calls from this number for 2 1/2 years now. When it got to 5 calls a day I changed my number (but I'm still with rogers) within 2 weeks they were calling again - so they are obviously with rogers since NO-ONE else knew my new number. Only about twice a week which is somewhat of a relief.
- Dont call me I'll call you replies to Joe (Don't bother me anymore )I dont know but Ive got a call as of today..I believe I have talked to a woman from this same place she said she's so and so from such a such couldnt tell she said so fast and she said she's partnered with Rogers.. and she asked for my mom and I said No we not interested and I hung up. Now it's like I got a computerized phone and wait for someone to pick up and they hang up. I guess that's a bit of pay back. No one will get fired they never do and even if they did Im sure it wouldnt stop yet another call from the place, wont stop any harrassing, wont stop any transfer/selling of mailing/phone lists. I know the call centre rules my mom was in the incoming and the outgoing. She hated the outgoing because it was forceful, irritating for both the caller and the callee. No one will take you off the calling list wont happen no way no how. The DO Not Call registry that came out not that long ago was a total farce. Puting your number on that is like saying hello see my number i dare ya to call me. We can all give you ways of dealing with bad harrassing companys problem is you'll still get calls whenever they please. When you in the shower... changing baby's diaper. In the middle of a fight with a wife. When you got one hr to sleep before work they will startle and tick ya off so you dont have sleep for work.
- MikeWell that is appropriate. They are on my call reject list so it doesn't even ring... and my phone is from Rogers.
- Rodolfo| 1 replyreceived call on march, monday 23TH 1:31pm

- RICER replies to RodolfoHey guys, I work for Rogers and I recieved a call from this number. I'm having my District Manager for Rogers investigate this with the fraud team. Hopefully they'll get the plug pulled.
- Rick replies to BerryThis (same as below) company called and said it was rogers who gave them the number to call. I already am a rogers customer and they still sell my number to these a holes to try and sell me something i already have
- DougThanks for the help regarding the caller. I always ignore 1-800 and 1-888 calls.
I've gone to the Rogers site to Manage My Marketing Preferences and chosen to remove myself from the marketing contacts from them. - Joanne| 1 replyThis company has been harassing me, with multiple call per day for over a week. The are contracted by Rogers. I advise everyone to do what I have done. Contact Rogers via email and phone. Tell Rogers that this company is bad for their business. I have told Rogers that they should fire Gemma, as all they are doing is making loyal Rogers customers angry. Yesterday, I got a call from Gemma at about 3:00 in the afternoon where I told them never to call me again and I was told I would be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST, then again at about 5:30. I lost it on them told them NEVER to call me again. I think this is the only way to get them to stop.

- Annoyed on the West Coast replies to JoanneThese guys have been calling my unlisted home phone number for the past week or so on daily basis multiple times.
I've just logged into my Rogers account and de-activated all my "Marketing settings" to do not contact me in any way. They screen then told me it would take 5 days for the changes to take effect, will let you know if still a problem after the first week of April.
I find it outrageous that we our numbers get thrown into a pot by default and it's our responsibility and obligation to remove them when we didn't agree to it in the first place.
I guess that would be what the small print in a contract is for, those F***s - W.T.I tried the "Marketing settings" in the past, it didn't work!
- RoseIf your phone is LG Shine, you're in luck, there's a "Call Reject" feature.
Not sure about other phones, you'll check the settings menu for similar feature.
For LG Shine phone:
Settings -> Call -> Call Reject
1. You'll need to turn ON the Call Reject feature.
2. Add all the unwanted phone#s to the Call Reject List.
Then, whenever these unwanted phone#s call, your phone will automatically
reject them, and you won't even hear the phone ring!
I group those unwanted phone#s under a contact name "Ignore", and put this contact in the Call Reject List.
Next time, when I receive a call that I don't know (especially those 1-800 or 1-888), I google it, and when I confirm that it is a useless telemarketer call, I just add it to the Reject list. - EX-Rogers Cellular CustomerNON-STOP 6-days a week harassing call to buy Rogers Cellular or TV services. Only Rogers have my brand new tel number ...so they must have sold or hired Gemma Corp to make me buy, buy, buy more of their services... greedy for more ... not satisfied with my monthly on-time, never-fail payments to them. SO I STOPPED, CANCELLED, CANCELLED ALL MY ROGERS SERVICES... FILTHY, GREEDY ROGERS [***].
