This call is from NCO Financial, a crooked collection agency.  Do a Google search on them and you'll find lots of information on their practices and how to deal with them.

NCO is the grand poobah of shady debt collectors. Send them a letter directing them to cease all communication with you and warning them that you'll pursue every applicable legal sanction against them if they fail to comply. Just be sure to send your letter via certified U.S. mail with a return receipt request. If they contact you more than once after receiving your letter, then they are in violation of federal law and you can lower the boom on them in court for damages payable to you. (I think the penalty is at least $1,000 per violation.)

Here's the mailing address that you wished for:

    NCO Financial Systems, Inc.
    507 Prudential Road
    Horsham, PA  19044-2308
    Phone: 215-441-3000

And check out these websites for more information on protecting yourself from shady debt thugs and, if need be, suing them:

I do not give my cell phone number out to anyone except those I know, so I have no idea how they got my number.  When I saw it was an 800 number, I did not answer it - luckily.

My girlfriend was choking and turning slightly blue during lunch. I picked up the phone to call 9-1-1, and didn't hear a dial tone.  That was because someone from NCO Financial called me at the EXACT wrong time.  I tried handing up to get a dial tone, and still couldn't.  As long as the NCO jerk refused to hang up HIS phone, the line remained open. I couldn't disconnect the call to reach 9-1-1.

I was forced to search for my girlfriend's cell phone to reach emergency services.  All the while she's gasping for breath. Luckily, rescue got here in time. But NCO cost me at least two minutes. They almost cost my girlfrind her life.

They are tied to a canadian corp and are phishing for idiots basically. They kept calling my house for my husband but they were asking for him by his nickname and last name (very common name). So I called them back and the conversations went like this:

Me: I'm trying to figure out why you keep calling my house.
NCO: Do you have a refernce #?
    Me: Yes. ####
NCO: Is there a Mr. 'Jones' there?
Me: Yes but... you aren't asking for him by his LEGAL name. You are asking for him by a nickname which I'm sure would not appear on a legitimate bill.
NCO: Oh... we are looking for Mr. 'John Jones'
Me: That's his nickname... what else can you tell me?
NCO: What's his real name 'mam?
Me: Ummm no. You should know that if this were legit.
NCO: We have John J. Jones
    Me: Nope...
NCO: The last four of his SS# are XXXX
    Me: Wrong again...
NCO: His birth date is XX-XX-XX
    Me: Nope...

    They are phishing for suckers.
Even if you do owe someone money, always pay them directly, NEVER EVER PAY THROUGH AN AGENCY!

Very easy to solve folks.  I do not have a debt, and they called me looking for someone that I never heard of and said they put me as a reference as next to kin.  I politely said " One moment sir, all calls are recorded for training purposes, what did you say your name was, and your with who.  never called again.  You see, I do record all calls, my home is my business line as well

They called my cell phone and left a message.  Never said who they were or what company they were with.  Did a google search on the # that appeared in my cell phone and ended up on this page.

Planning on sending them a letter stating to stop calling me at home or on my cell #.  I can't stand these people.

Didn't answer the call, but the caller left a message for Kathleen Guerrero - not someone who lives here (nor even a name we know), so it was clearly a wrong number.  But the message said something to the effect that "this was a preventative courtesy phone call" and for the person "or their legal representation" to call some 888 number.  The final statement was "you have been notified".

Sounds pretty similar to the bottom-feeding scum described elsewhere on this page.

    NCO scam
My phone rang one day and call ID said: 1-800-448-9570. Decided to pick up the phone and the caller asked for someone I have not heard of. I emphasized I didn't know such person and the caller said he will keep calling. My gut feeling told me this was a scam and so I decided that I have heard enough of this guy and just hung up before he finished what he wanted to say. Then I typed this phone number in google search and of course I found numerous bad comments about NCO. People if you have similar experience you should look up the the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and learn your rights. You have no obligation to pay anything you do not owe.  Don't give these people any information because if they are legitimate they should have all your info already. They just want to trick you into providing them your personal info.
