This number called my work number and left a voice mail saying "this is Name please return this call to a diffrent number" with no indication what it was about.  Sorry i don't return unsolicited phone calls that are that vague.  They want a call back they need to state who they are looking for and why they are calling. Simple.

Received a call from 800-448-9570.  Caller claimed some person I never heard of had given my number as a "reference".  I just activated this cell phone number only a day earlier.  Guess I need to get a new number already.  This is insane.

I have been receiving several phone calls from this phone number 1-800-488-9570 saying that they are NCO Financial and that I owe money. I asked them if they could send me a bill. If they were a legitimate company they could. They said, "No, I could only pay it buy phone or email and wanted my bank account information ,ssn#, etc." I looked them up on Better Business Bureau

Was getting 8 calls per day from these people.
Tried to repeatedly explain that I wasn't "dodging" the debt, whichis obvious, because I keep answering the calls and explaining that I would love to take care of it, but just CANNOT give them a dime right now.
Told one rude caller, in a very pleaant way, thatmy fiance' just had knee replacemet surgery and has been out of work for almost a year, and I had a root canal 4 dys earier that cost me $1590 out of pocket, and my positive cashflow was $6.00 amont, so I was in DEEP rouble.
He says to me, "WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT HAVE WITH YOU PAYING US THE MONEY YOU OWE?"  Isaid, "I'll tell you what it has to do with it, EINSTEIN!!!!  How about if I come to your little cubby-hole wherever the Fu*k you are, and speak to you the same way you are speking to me, eexcept UP CLOSE ...IN PERSON, ya mUTHER FU8KER!

    Seriously Annoyed
Called this morning and left a VM identifying themselves as NCO Financial and did at least say it was in reference to debt collection.

I immediately pulled up my credit report just to double check, given that all my accounts are in good standing and I wanted to make sure something weird hadn't happened recently, and everything still looks lovely on my credit report.

They didn't state who they were actually trying to contact, so I am not even going to bother calling them back - I suspect like many others, they are fishing for information.

If they call again, I'll answer for no other reason than to determine if they are actually looking for me or just have a wrong number.

I have received two calls from this number, the first time they called they spoke to my 12 year old son (while I was outside), and asked him questions about my nephew. They told him they were trying to reach my nephew and asked my son if they were related. Of course, my son said yes, and told them who my nephew's father was and who knows what else. I was not upset at first until I googled this number after the second call yesterday.
These people called me yesterday, very polite girl,(called me by name- my name is not in the phonebook-only my husband's) asking for help finding my nephew, said it was illegal to tell me what she needed him for , but she was trying to help resolve a situation for him and he had listed me as a contact number.( He is in the process of moving to another state, so I did not find this odd) She said he had listed my name and another woman- who turns out to be my husbands ex-wife from 23 years ago! *****steam**** That name didn't even hit me until after I got off the phone.....these people are scum...obviously they are doing some sort of background checks  to even know that information, because my nephew has not seen or spoken to that female for over 23 years, neither has anyone else in the family. They had to have done a background check on my husband to know that information. That sickens me, I hope someone can catch them and sue their pants off.

Here's a new one. NCO left message said Citibank is having a stimulis sale. They are settling for 25% for 2 days only. Everyone is taking advantage of this! Who are they kidding. First of all I'm not the person they are calling. I called them and told them, but they still call. Next I am going to send them a letter rqsting no more phone calls and asking to prove the debt. Next will be to file a complaint against them.

What an ignorant statement - "If you people would just pay your bills, No one would be calling you."

Obviously your comprehension skills are lacking as half the posts here are about NCO trying to reach someone with outdated contact info and NCO's mannerism towards uninvolved third parties.

So, when you can't comprehend that you are not calling the right person here is a little insight: the person who owes the debt is still not being called.

Better save that "Wha-bulance" for when the reality of all the time and resources wasted calling a wrong number sinks in.
