7 days late on bill that was paid a week ago AND STILL getting calls!!!

This is JCPennys.  They are trying to collect late payments.  But what is annoying is they will start calling when you are just a couple of days late, I was 5 days late.  Then when you talk to them they will double your amount due to cover the late payment & your future payment, PLUS add your late fee.  Keep that in mind when paying your bill thru them.  I recommend not paying them anything and using the online bill pay.  That is what I told them.  She was upset that I wasn't going to pay over the phone, but she will get over it.  LOL

It's an outside company that JCPenny's or GE Captiol Rewards cards uses to collect from you. WHAT HAPPENED TO US, is somehow they had us on E-Billing, which we never signed up for online. It had to happen at the Checkout Register, yet they denied that was even possible. SO after calling Catalog to be sure I could get a true JC Penney employee, she connected me to this (what I'm calling an Outside Collection Company from India)  I argued and they took 1 late fee off. Then I called again, and once again got transferred to the Same Outside Collection Company, and explained I DON'T TRUST ANYONE RIGHT NOW, I'm afraid of Phishing schemes etc. He agreed to waive the other late fee. Now they are switching me to paperless billing, they are mailing me a new bill in 7 days, without the late fees, and I will take it into the store to pay it. It's CRAZY what we have to do to avoid being a possible Victim. The phone number to dial on the back of your JC PENNEY Card should be 1-888-527-7937. This will connect you with that outside Collection Company. Then you can argue with them, that when you googled the phone number that was harassing you 1-800-527-3369 that it scared you from trusting anything from JC PENNEY, unless you receive a paper bill, and can pay it off in person.

MAKE THEM STOP... HOW? HOW? HOW?

They called our office looking for someone called "Candy Dewald". This is the 6th time they have called and we tell them each time that nobody by that name has ever worked here. The man calling is from some exotic foreign country with an accent so thick he sounds like a radio station that isn't tuned in properly. How do we get them to stop calling because the person they're trying to reach is not an employee.

It is a recorded message from J.C.Penny. Also claims I can visit their website for more information.
I don't talk to recorded voices, or return calls from recorded voices. I don't care why they are calling. If it is important, a human can call and leave a message.

I called JCP and they told me that this number 1-800-527-3369 was not one of their #'s.   They told me to go to www.donotcall.gov. and report them.   DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFO.

Hey everyone, you must file a complaint at www.donotcall.gov.   It's very easy to register.   Also, go to the section that gives you the option to make a complaint and type in this company's phone number, so that they can be stopped.   I called JCP today, and this is what they told me to do.   JCP does not recognize this number as their own.   THE MORE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THIS COMPANY THE FASTER THEY WILL BE STOPPED.    So please  everyone, register and complain.

PAY YOUR BILLS AND THEY WON'T CALL! LOL ITS THE NUMBER TO GE WHO FINANCES JCPENNEY AND THEY ONLY CALL IF YOUR BILL IS PAST DUE. DUH PEOPLE! IT KILLS ME THAT PEOPLE WILL BORROW MONEY AND THEN THINK THEY SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING IT BACK! IF YOU LET SOMEONE BORROW HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND THEY DID NOT PAY YOU BACK, YOU WOULD CALL THEM TOO!

These people lose payments in the mail and then call with an automatic message after they agreed not to call.  Calls come from India  - Headquarters in GE Capital Retail Bank in Stamford, Conn.

Another collection company with agents with developmental disabilities.

Tried to trick me to giving them my bank account information.

I have absolutely no debts.  This number calls me 3 times a day every day of the week on a cell phone ... it is using up my paid minutes.  Make them stop.

Received calls from this number advising me to call a toll free number in regard to my J. C. Penney account

calls everyday at all hours. does not leave a message - just ask to press 1, 2, or 3.
so I just hang up.

My mother is elderly and been receiving these phone calls on her cell from this number more than 20 times a day. The recorded asked for account information for JC Penny. Concerned she called JC Penny (she is Ann account holder) but they did not have her cell phone number on file. Finally as we sat down to dinner tonight and her cell phone rang I answered she informed me she was going to change her  number. So I decided to fix it for her. I called the number, sure enough it was a recorded message regarding a JC Penny account and it wanted me to punch in the account number. So I typed zeros until finally a human answered. Angry I demanded my mothers number be removed from  their calling list. The woman asked for my account I told her there was no account. She asked for the cell number and I discovered that someone else had the cell number. They kindly removed the number.

This company calls constantly, even through they have been advised the person they are asking for is not at this phone number.

It's JC Penney's credit card services. They call if you are late with a payment.

They have called our landline twice in two days.  This time, in a recording, they said: "This is GE Capital Retail Bank calling about your J.C. Penney credit card," followed by numbers to call, etc.  Naturally, we do not answer such calls, so they left that automated message.

We have never had any accounts with, much less a credit card issued by J.C. Penney.  We have never even used shopped in one of their stores.

Our rule is twice from a number and it is blocked.  They are now blocked.

15 calls in a half hour.  I'm sick of getting "Rusty" from Pakistan or India or wherever calling me.  My bills are paid up. I'm with the other people that are saying this is a scam.  Let me tell you, working 90+ hours a week these people really dont want me to be on the other end of the line.
