Same here.  I just got a call from "Direct Trucking," but didn't answer because I didn't know who that is.  They did leave a message, however, and I was surprised when AT & T/Direct TV was identified as the caller.  Based on earlier posts, it appears that this number has been used in the past by Direct TV, so why did it show on the caller ID as Direct Trucking?  Is that a mistake?

The ID reads Spam? Direct TR.  Whitepages.com lists Atlas Networks.  Today is Thanksgiving.  This is spam/scam/fraud.

I just switched to DirecTV a couple weeks ago and this guy said he was from DirecTV and offered to reduce my bill to 37.50 a month with all the movie channels and all the pay channels, as well as a $100 gift card, as long as I paid them $900 today by 9 p.m.  I also would not receive a bill for 9 months.  I asked him if I called Direct TV would they verify this is true and he just ignored it and kept on going with his scam.  When he asked me for my credit card I told him I'll just go ahead and pay my monthly premium to DirecTV where I know it's legitimate and I hung up on him.  I called to notify Direct TV but they didn't seem to be interested and just told me make sure I don't give my credit card information over the phone to anyone.  Then they tried to sell me an AT&T cell phone.  He was Indian as well as the guy who was trying to scam me, and I couldn't understand him much better than I could understand the scammer.  They didn't ask for the number either, so evidently this is why this is continuing because I noticed posts from 2016 about the same scam.

Glad to hear you got a call for a free 3 mo offer of HBO just like I did.  I signed up for the three months.  Got to keep track of a small number at the bottom of the bill to know when your three months is up and to call cust serv to stop HBO.

The smart thing to do is call DirectTV @ a known phone number, such as the one on your bill, and ask them about this promo.
