Recorded message from DirecTV calling to confirm our HD setup.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I picked up and no one answered. I do have DirecTV, so maybe it was them.

Directv again??? Ive already talked to these people about my set up and done their little survey!

Directv still calling after I called and emailed to tell them to CEASE all calls. They have not left us alone since the day we cancelled the service.  Even tried to offer me $200 to stay with them.  NO means NO

Automated call promoting add-ons to DirecTV's  NFL Sunday Ticket package. The bot knew I was a subscriber. The call remained connected for more than a minute even after I hung up (what if I had an emergency?). 1-800-531-5000 was on the caller ID and was mentioned in the recording. I called back, went through voice-menu hell (do not call isn't on their list), and reached an extremely inarticulate CS rep who insinuated I'd been called by a "fraudulent source."

This is beneath even Comcast. My opinion of DirecTV could not be worse. I'd cancel, but they have a monopoly at my apartment.

hey i work for a DTV retailer. we do it all to get around customers calling DTV... trust me, no one "fraudulent" as you were told; would EVER connect you to them directly as you were connenct, NOR WOULD THEY have thier caller ID read their main cs/sales number...800 531-5000 is a main number, the person(s) commiting FRAUD, would know BETTER!!!! *they would get fried on a skewer at a co. BBQ*... figure of speach,of course...

but DTV doesnt have the brightest cs reps.
they subcontract to [***] who dont even have a HS Diploma!

seems like  you people freak out when anyone calls.If they want to offer hbo free for 3 months im all for it.They call you people once and you all freak out.

DirecTV. They left a recorded message promoting their Pay Per View Channels.

no message left......as usual; but clearly DirecTV from above info and reverse listing. I am ********so********tired of their calls. I've let them know that I was going to cancel my DirecTV service if they didn't stop calling me at least 5 times a week. No change though. I have no problems with their service, connection, billing, etc. So I don't know why they would tamper with a good thing.

This 800-531-5000 is the number that all of the DTV contracted installers have as their caller ID. The main numbers for DTV is 888-778-8991 or 800- 347-3288 (800directv).

They called my NEW husbands phone asking for me by my previous Married name. they had my address where I've only lived for the last 10 years.

The first thing they asked for was my social security number and birthdate. When I refused to supply my social they asked for "atleast the last 4 digits".

They said I owed money for service from 1989-1990. Here's what's wrong with this:
1. I've never been late on my bill in the 8 yrs I've had DirectTV.
2. I didn't live at my address in 1989 or 1990. Not even in the same state!
3. I didn't go by my previous Married name they asked for until the late 90's. In 1989-1990, I was still going by my maiden name and hadn't even met my first husband!
4.Did DirecTV even exist in 1989??
5.If they called me why would they ask ME to verify my identity and why didn't they have MY phone number on record? I've only been married 1 month so why would they call my new husband's phone for me and how did they even have it on record?
6. When I called DirecTV about this, they had no clue who would've called me or why. They didn't even have me in their system by my previous married name like the people who called!

DirectTV called three times in the last two weeks - left messages saying they installed a system at our house and we needed to pay (not true - we have never used directTV).  We called back right after the last message was sent - operator said they had no record of the call and then hung up on us when we asked to speak with her supervisor.  The matter still has not been resolved

These calls always come in on my cell at work ... no, no, no. Don't want them. No message left.

We had them and switched due to the price they wanted for a 3rd HD receiver....  Had no issues until we changed, then they took 10.00 out of my acct for a 6.00 fee??  which should never have been done since we were off contract.. I never set up for them to take out auto, but the bank is letting them and wanting to charge me 35.00 to stop each fee grrrrrrrr... I have an email from them they in April got back both our HD recievers..  and on top took out money for one HD receiver, not because anything was wrong, its because they are sitting in their warehouse not processed but, they can see by the fedex tags they do have them.  Directv is a RIPOFF....  No we will not switch back even all your calling to give us all sorts of stuff and pay off our new dish contract.. forget it!!  I want my money back with interest.. its all a fight now.. stay away from Directv!!!!!!!

cancelled service because they guaranteed internet ... no such internet service available in my area... i should not be getting promo calls and if they think i am paying anything for canceling when their failure to provide internet voided the contract then they can piss in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills up first.
