If I want to talk to DirecTV I'll let you know.  Otherwise DO NOT bother us. My wife is disabled and has areal struggle to answer a call.  We r in quarantine.
Enough problems without your calls.

Someone is spoofing DirecTv's number.  I got a call from this number.  They said that since I'm a loyal customer,  I might qualify for a discount.  They asked for my year of birth and last 4 of SS#.  At this point, I didn't think anything of it, so I gave them the info.  She asked for my pin #, which I didn't remember having, and I told her I didn't know.  She asked me to verify my account #, but I didn't have a bill handy.  She said she would have someone call me back within 30 minutes.  About an hour and a half later, I get the call back.  She kept asking me security questions that I never would have used.  Now I'm suspicious.  I didn't give her answers, so she said she would have a supervisor call.  At this point, I tried to call DirecTv myself but couldn't get to a live person.  I got on their website, hoping that they'd have a chat service.  While I was doing that, I get a call from AT&T (who owns DTV), and it was not from an 800 number, so I answered it.  The woman said they had received 2 phone calls from a woman who said she was me and was trying to get info about my account!  I told her about the phone calls, and that I was trying to find someone who could tell me if the calls were legit, and she assured me they weren't.  I know I used to get legit calls from that number, and back then it really was DTV trying to sell me additional services.  If you decide to answer a call from that number, BE CAREFUL!!!

Phone for accounts

This company calls over and over. I am on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. I have blocked numerous numbers from this company. It's never a live representative and if you hang out on the phone to ask them if they will remove your number or if someone maybe put down the wrong number for their account, after waiting through the recordings you get another recording of someone giving this number as fast as they can say it to call to speak to someone and the call hangs up on you, so listen well it's not repeated. From the other comments here, I doubt calling that number is going to help. Direct TV should be sued. I will never use their company at this point and will tell all of the people I know and whoever will listen not to either. How many numbers can this irritating company call from?! I have NEVER given them my phone number to them or had an account with them. What a shameful company.

Just adding one of the numbers calling me with a recording for Direct TV telling me I need to call them. It came from: 866-354-4760. I hope their company folds.

Stay away!  This is a set-up.   Also, do not respond to 844-281-2702.
