They called me at my home phone, however, I have never given anyone my home number only my cell number. So this is very odd.

I have been receiving phone calls from Bobs Hakes from National credit adjusters and I have paid off one  loan. Then when I paid off that loan he informed me that he just received another one of my accounts. This man has also hit my visa credit card with test hits to see if the credit card has money on it. Is this a legal company or is this a scam?

FUNNY HOW PEOPLE MAKE UP ALL THE EXCUSES IN THE WORLD INSTEAD OF BEING FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND PAY THE BILLS THEY OWE. BASICALLY THOSE WHO AVOID GIVING BACK WHAT THEY BORROW ARE THIEVES AND WILL EVENTUALLY BE DEALT WITH. ITS CALLED STEALING IN ALL REALITY.

Got a call from this number at my job. Not sure how they got it. Anyway, told them to stop calling me at work. If they want money from me, Send me the notice in the mail. If they have my work number, I'm sure they have my home address. I hung up on them.

I was getting calls from this company and i actually was able to get them to stop a friend of mine knows this guy who works/deals with people in our situations 855-672-1988.

Thank you SO much for posting that number up. I new I had debt and contacting them in reference to it really helped me. They were able to set up a payment arrangement that worked with my money they were professional and really helped me get thru this. consumer helpers thank you for working with people such as myself

have received again several call for someone who's name sounds like mine.First message was left on voicemail saying if you don't push a number -it is you !!! Second call today man with file #.Ihad previous experience months ago with these calls and when I got fed up,i called back-man very very rude kept saying I was very defensive if it was not me!! I called back and asked for a supervisor,of course was transferred to a voice mail.Left a message regarding rude behavior of employee etc.Calls stopped till today.I owe no bills ,name not the same but again calls!!can these not be stopped!!

They keep calling my cell phone looking for stephen lawrence. They were rude would not listen to me and said they would take my number off but they don't. On the caller ID the number was 916-668-4407. the recorded message said to call 800-542-1048.

An American-sounding middle-aged man called, left a VM, saying his name was Aaron Lucia, on 8/21/12 at 1:41pm, and for me to call 1-800-542-1048, X1387.  No other information was left.

I have attempted to notify this company that they have the wrong number.  Yesterday I called and the outgoing message said I was the ninth caller in cue, 8, 7, 6, 5,4, 3, 2,1 and then I was the ninth caller in cue again.  This repeated three times before I hung up.  Multiple attempts have been made to rectify this situation and I have never had a chance to speak to a live operator.  I called the phone company and they could not help me as I do not want to have to pay to block the number.  I am not Paul Owens with an outstanding debt and yet I recieve 1-4 messages for him PER WEEK for going on two years.  I've had the same number since 2007.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Someone from Joplin, MO (417) 622-4968 keeps calling weekly to my cell phone and a recording request that if I am who they indicate on the phone, about a settlement #??????? to call 1-800-542-1048 (National Debt Collectors).  I hang up and don't reply at all because I know my credit is fine.  Just make these calls go away, please and thank you.

Tell them this is your place of employment and it is illegal for them to call you there and you tell them that.  If they continue to call you at your place of employment then you have a case for harassment.B

Its some kind of collection agency.  I let my Best Buy Mastercard max out and Capital One sold it to this company.  The lady at Capital One gave me this phone number to call them to get it paid off...
