- lovey replies to Fed up in Atlanta, Ga| 1 replymacy's will not call unless you are late on a bill, trust me they do not have a blast calling past due customers. they do it cause they care about your credit and dont want 2 ruin it, why would they? that gets macy's no where. bill is a bill if its late its late and you will receive calls, as a reminder to be nice 2 a valued customer. im sure god would love that, doesn't he say to love one another? thats a form of love.
- musician86 replies to Conniethanks...this was very helpful!
- weeble replies to patriotpride16tto the person who has no macy's card, and is getting calls ... might wanna check your credit, make sure someone didnt open an account with your identity ... ;)
- methis is 100% a scam. do not give out any macy's or bank information.
- Billy| 1 replyReceived about a dozen calls from a 727 number within the last 10 days. Each time they hang up without leaving a voicemail message. When I answered they gave a name of Sean and it was regarding an important business matter. When I told him I didn't know who he was he hung up. I answered a second time with the same result. After googling the number I've found the same results of this possible Macy's collection scam. Still trying to find where to report it or how to block this number since the calls are so frequent.
- Caller: Possibly Macy's collection
- David Christian replies to patti94523This is definitely a scam because I got my debit account charged $59.84 dollars and I've never had a credit card so the idea of only being a collecting agency is definitely not the whole story

- n.g.Person called for my mom, a indin sounding person asked for her told him she is not around can i take a messgae. He said his name is mr,.conceptions and his number is 1800-545-1256. i asked what is this regarding he said a personal bussines matter and she should call back. he didnt mention any company that he was from, not a very helpful person. and if its a legit # for maceys they should give some type of class so to teach them how to speak on the phone.
- paulApparently Im an idoit. But by my idiocracy I have discovered that this number is in fact a legit number. I received a phone call from a Mrs. Cho about my wife's missed payment and she asked for bank info. I did not think in my typical "gonna kill my wife for this" attitude and offered my debit card info. After giving her this info I realized it could have been a scam. I spent all day trying to find the number in Macy's directory to no avail. Finally I got Macy's department on the phone and because my cell died I didnt have the number they called me about so asked them about another number which in fact was one of their's. I hung the land line for those wondering and charged my cell in my car cause i was at work at this time. I found the number i asked about was not the number that had called me. So I tried to call Macy's again and asked about that number and he told me it was not their's. In panic I called the number which I had tried calling earlier but received no answer after five min of ringing, luckily this time they answered and asked they said they were in fact macy's and they answered some questions even after giving me a 1800 545 1256. I still was not bought so I continued looking. After looking around I noticed similarities. Macy apparently contacts third parties for collect. Ie citibank. I looked at my online acct and it showed citicard as the chard. Which seemed weird too cause I thought it would show Macy's but didnt. I contiued to panic. I called the number on the statement and asked about the acct and asked if they received a payment for the amount i paid and they confirmed they had. This took almost all day. But these numbers are in fact parties collecting for macy's. Not to professional but thank goodness it wasnt a scam.

- irritated customer replies to ConnieWhat do you mean you don't ride us. I recivied 7 calls per day for the last week for a bill that's not even late. I have never had a late payment. It's most irritating because half the time it's a recording telling us to hold on...yeah right! 7 TIMES A DAY!!!!!!! ARE YOU INSANE!!!! Get off my back!
- Larry Harfmann| 1 replyIf everyone boycotted Macy's with signs at their 34th Street store in NYC, the world would get the message. Macy's should have an office in the United States to handle those late paying Americans, employing The USA unemployed. No wonder USA unemployment figures are so high.
I resent getting a call from India - they must have all of our personal information - ss#, date of birth, account #, address, tel. # and more. Where is our security?- Call type: Debt collector
- Sickofcalls replies to RobInWestPalmBeachPLEASE... post it on YouTube.... I think Macy's needs to hear this for themselves. I'm late on a $8 payment and they call me 4-5 times/day - I'm tired of this harrassment!
- Maryann PhillipsThis is Mr. .............. It's a different name every time. Says he's from Macyh's and to call 800 545 1256.
My account is not past due. I am away from my land line but my house sitter is telling me of these calls which I have not nswered. I think it is a scam - Jack replies to amyThey aren't respecting peoples privacy because its polite, they do it because its the law. Debt collectors are scum of the earth, they have no manners.
- wthGot a phone call today from 513-754-9863 wanting to speak to the wife about a personal business matter. I took a message to return the call to 800-545-1256. I am going to call Macy's and give them this information and will post results here
- Di replies to ConnieThanks for clearing that up. I hate getting calls and them not leave a detailed message. I don't ever call them back if they can't tell my messenger at least where they are calling from. Most of the time it's a sales call we don't care to get. I do know I'm 2-3 days late according to my statement I just found! Uuhhhgggg! Thanks again :)
- Frustratedmore than anything...whether it is legit or not... they keep calling a number, not mine...and I have corrected my macys account (and paid the bill I forgot - oops) and I have changed that phone number on my account 7 TIMES...and they still do not update the correct number. Frustrating!!!!

- Jane Doe replies to ConnieI would like to know how you collectors get cell phone numbers of account holders family members? I asked the account holder if she gave out my cell phone number as a work number which is what this collector said, and she said no.
