You're gonna try to shut down a company rated A+ by AMBEST? Good luck you'll need it.

I got charged and overdraft fee for this stupid program. I was an idiot. I decided that it might be good to do this, but after i accepted it and looked it over, it seemed too good to be true. I cancelled the service before they were supposed to start charging, but apparently to no avail. I will be calling back and give them a piece of my mind.

I remember talking to someone and having her record the conversation. However, I did not agree to anything except for telling her my information. She did tell me, just like others had said, that she was a service of Wells Fargo. After a month or two I received information in the mail and immediately called Wells Fargo to see what was going on. They took me off of the all of the telemarketing and insurance lists and said everything was fine. Today, I looked in my account and saw that the NFU had withdrawn $23.95 from my account. This is ridiculous. I understand I wont get my money back, but this is crap. As a costumer of Wells Fargo, I should have the right to know who will get my information and what other companies Wells Fargo works with so I know in the future not to get involved with them. The sad part about all of this, is that I do not even own a car and I'm being charged insurance for it.

I signed up for this when they called me back in 2008. I think it was initally a $10/mo charge that at some point became $24/mo.

I dont think I ever received the information that they said they'd send, but that was due to me moving and not looking into it. I just now called and canceled because I realized I was never going to use it since I didn't ever care enough to know about the details, but I can't really blame them for that-- Thats just me.

Canceling was easy. She worked with me and made it quick and easy. I may consider signing up again in the future when money isn't so tight and I can actually get into the details.

A customer service finally answered my call. I wrote down her name, time and date and CANCELLATION NUMBER of this stupid crap. Hoping no future fee for this. I told them I DO NOT WANT TO DO ANYTHING WITH THIS INSURANCE and i do not want their $20 gas card.
After reading your letter it gave me an idea, thanks!!!

    Sounds like a scam
They claimed to be the customer service call center... they could not confirm that Mr Tyree worked there or what his extension was.

They made believe they had computer problems and kept asking me for my personal information, your address, your policy number, your phone #.  I stopped playing their game and hung up.

I called back to see what they would say this time. They claim to service Wells Fargo and other insurance companies (Chartis Insurance?!?!?). The taped message identifies the # as National Union Fire Insurance Service.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION. JUST HANG UP.

I noticed today while viewing my checking account info online there was a $25.95 charge. In the description field it read WF*NUF ACCPRO. The date it was processed was on 7/15 and the phone number listed is 800-572-5848. Because today is Sunday I wrote down the info and will call in the morning, but in the meantime I researched this on the internet. The full name of the company is National Union Fire Ins. Company. I have not ordered any fire insurance. I am currently leasing my house from a friend, so I don't even own the home. The only thing I can think of how they even got my account information was through Wells Fargo, which is who I bank with, I've been getting numerous calls from Wells Fargo Telemarketing Dept. lately, even though my numbers are listed on the National Do Not Call List.

Because of this inconvenience this transaction overdrawn my account. I have not received anything in the mail, regular or electronic, regarding a fire insurance policy or anything, no notification of a debit charge of $25.95.

I don't understand why you wouldn't get your money back. You said that you never agreed to anything nor signed anything. You said you're billed for auto insurance and you don't own a car?!

I would call back and MAKE them refund the money, but that's just me.

Well I  don't have to be but well I kind of lived to just live with a man that has mostly Wells Fargo's  as his banking investment and well he has been  paying  $9.95 since Aug of  05. He don't remember authorizing this cause he is mostly drunk all the time but he is now calling the bank and trying to get info from the company... at the same time.  They started off as  AGI insurance but the number is the same.. he has home owners insurance which is paid through his home  payment which is through the same Bank so just how where are they getting the information no one really knows unless some one in the bank has some kind of assess to all the information that goes into the Banks data bank. I am pissed as well for I am the one that got yelled at when I was getting the information for the guy while he sat there trying to pull the same I don't understand  I when its simple as all get out that the banks gain information through the data banks that the computers have ... I  don't  like  hearing the  damn  telemarketers  all the  time  they  even  have the  gulls  to  do  wake  up  calls  ... every  work  day  some  week  ends  at the  same  time  we  will get the  same  calls... what  stupid  kids  we  have  in the  world...thinking  they can  get  away  with  major  labor pains  by  sitting on their  [***] all day  long  calling  people  in hopes  of  a  dumb  sell to  gain  some  money.

I  just  did  a look over of the AIG that is American International Group, Inc. Stock exchange that's where the the new name comes in handy as if some one else was trying to gain and get others in some deep  [***]. Does  one  think  that  those  at the  top  are  really  the  ones  trying to  get  the  money out  of  poor  folks cause they  have  money  in a  bank to  fit their  life  to  where  they  can  have  what  ever they  wish?

I  really think  its  some  fools  that  are  using   the  company  names  to  gain  wealth  for their own  to  gain  for their  own.... such  as  how  did  the  Indians  of  Washington  St ate  gain  all that  money  in the  first  place ?  Computer  crimes  I  say   very  much  so  any  call and  bill   and  anything  that  any   one  could gain  information of  any  one  to  use  ho w ever  they  wish.. I  know   for  some  one  was  using and  may  still be  using my  ID   to  gain for  their  own.... open  the  brain  and  see  what  is  really  going on  before  you  start saying is  one  person  or  a  well known  group for  there  are  idiots  out there that  would  gain  some  how   by  doing  so  before  they  ever  did  any  big  job of  either  getting dirt  under their nails  or  of anyway  in any  form  of getting dirty!

You're wrong - they do ask for your SS#, and, your zip code, and, I still question the integrity of any of it.  I know I did call traces on some of their harassing phone calls - *57 is call trace...and, if I get a charge, I will be contacting the Attorney General's Office - and when in doubt, report it to the legal authorities.

Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and 23 other companies were recently listed in the top 25 worst companies in America!

Be aware - no body should ask for your social security number - if they are calling from Wells Fargo, they should ask for your Wells Fargo account number, on this automated sytsem for the 800 # to be removed from the calls...

My son is going through this very thing.  Our number is on the do not call list, yet my continues to get constant solicitations.  Wells Fargo/Wachovia preys on young people and the elderly.  Now, their policy is that they will not speak to anyone other than the account holder even if the account is on the line.  My son and I were on a call with a representative from Wachovia, my son advised that he gave his consent and wanted me to handle the call as he was not able to get anyone to help him on his own.  The representative would not acknowledge that I was speaking and continued to only address my son.  This policy enables them to railroad the young and the elderly who are often not in any position to understand what is happening and what their rights are.  Otherwise, their is no valid reason for not speaking to whomever is able to best represent their customers and permission is granted.  That Wachovia/Wells Fargo is putting thier customers in this position is nothing short of criminal and we are pursuing this.

I never signed up for any insurance policy. I just received a letter thanking me for doing so, however. WTF? The letter states that unless I call and cancel prior to my effective date ..."as specified in your Insurance Documents"... my monthly payment will be automatically applied to my account each month. Again, WTF? I never received any "Insurance Documents", so I don't have any idea when the effective date is (or was). The letter listed 800-572-5848 as the customer service number, and the company listed on the letter is "National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA" - but their address is a post office box in Jacksonville, FL.
I am nervous about calling this number, after reading all the posts. I don't want my call to activate their system, making it believe that they have the go-ahead to call me at all hours. UGH! I will call my personal connections at Wells Fargo and get this whole thing straightened out. I suggest everyone contact their financial/lending institution FIRST and discuss this, rather than trying to deal with the "insurance" company.
TELEMARKETER:  If these policies are so wonderful, why do you need to trick people into becoming customers? Going behind someone's back, and making them have to do all the work in order to fix the wrong-doing is disgusting, and it IS a scam! Before you insult someone's intelligence, you better make sure you know who you are dealing with.

Mark... the letter I received included a "verification form" for a $50,000 Permanent Total Disability Accident benefit, at no cost to me for the first three months. No cost? Who picks up the bill, then? Well Fargo!
