because you cant do anything with a date of birth you can get that at your local library, she was probably just trying to make you feel comfortable hate to break it to you all but i'm a telemarketer and your all complaining but before any information is sent to you you have to first sit through our 10-15 min speech and THEN say its ok to transfer you to a verifier and THEN they explain all the coverage over to you and its recorded AND you need to say yes, so stop complaining, just because you answer the phone and don't listen to us as we speak is not an excuse for your troubles now.

Dude if you didn't get anything then why did you have the address and when your wife was talking on the phone there was a recording and she had to ok everything and she was aware of the recording and she had to sit through us talking and the verifiers talking we did say that it was for you to review and you have 60 days to cancel it and for your information National Union Fire insurance company out of Pittsburgh PA is the company that underwrites the insurance. It was to cover one of three things Total and Permanent Accidental Disability Insurance, or Auto Related accident insurance, or accidental death and dismemberment. You allowed them to call you when you signed all the paper work at Wells Fargo bank. I worked them for over a year, no longer do where as I am a college student.

Somebody from this number got my wife on the phone. She didn't agree to anything on some sort of auto accident insurance. But yet they started taking automatic monthly deductions from our Wells Fargo Bank account without our permission. Wells Fargo is now investigating the case. The line item on my bank accounts says: NUF IPP INSR 800 -572-5848. The funny thing is, my wife doesn't drive and doesn't have a car. Yet they signed her up on accident insurance. This is theft and fraud. And I will take it to the FBI, the FED, and the Attorney Generals office.

first of all, i have never signed up for this "organization". nor did i gave my info out to anyone. if someone called i automatically say im not interested. im more of a face to face person for you to persuade me. when i read this, i notice its mainly targeting the elderly, but i just barely started college but i know better not to sign up for anything if i do not know the case. and secondly, I CLEARLY SAID NO TO EVERYTHING THE "NATIONAL UNION FIRE INSURANCE" have said when they called. so they better go back to that "recording" and find out that i numerously said NO! i am outrageously furious about them charging me 25 dollars without consent. and how in the world they got a hold of my account. this is nonsense. i will file claim for this to court. and i am not stopping til they stop this "company". >[

Today, 12/3/09, I noticed a $19.90 charge on my wells fargo bank stmt from "NUF IPP INSR 800-572-5848", so I called 1-800-572-5848, I spoke with a representative who says I spoke to someone on April (I do not recall) and agreed to review some accident policy for 60 days (Again I did not recall).  I was also told that I should have received a policy or documentation to review (I did not received). I told him I want to cancel, as this is a fraudulent charge, and he suggested I review the policy which he is having sent in 7days and then call back to cancel.  He suggested I review before cancelling since I might be eligible for some payout during the time I was insured.

I will wait for the documentation, however, I will call back cancel now based on this feedback.  Thanks for the information - if I'm due any payout it should be covered for the time I unknowingly owned the policy!

my cousin has epilepsy and can't even remember his name sometimes. all I know is that he was contacted by these people and repeatedly told them no and they are now deducting 24.90 from his account every month. he is so devastated because he works hard for his money and doesn't have any to spare. everytime they take money out, it sends him into overdraft. then he can't make his bills. i am thoroughly angry about these "people".

My Wells Fargo account was debited on 12/02/09 and 01/05/10 for $24.95.
The notation was "NUF HPP INSR 800-572-5848 ...", apparently some kind of insurance scam.
I called Wells Fargo customer service, got a Claim# for each debit and a Stop Payment# to stop any payments to this debitee for up to 6 months.  My money should show up in my account in the next day or two, hopefully.

I'm not sure how long they have been deducting from my daughters account. She too is developmentally disabled and wouldn't even be able to give them her account information. She definitly doesn't drive, she has a seizure disorder. Unbelievable! Thank you all for the info

I do not recall receiving a call from this number. However, my Domestic Partner's Wells Fargo account has NUF HPP INSR 800-572-5848, NUF IPP INSR 800-572-5848, AIG IPP INSR 800-572-5848 and several other variations of the like. Withdrawing amounts from $24.90 to $25.95.
So, I called Wells Fargo. To my surprise, they are aware of this scam! Although, they continued to allow the money to be taken out of his account for 13 months.
Not just once or twice a month; but up to FOUR times a month!!!

Our State Senatore's office suggessted we:

Of course, first of all is to make sure the account has been closed so that no more charges can be incurred on the account.

    1) Contact the Attorney General's office to file a complaint under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices - Consumer Protection Act.1-800-621-0508

    2) Contact the Texas Department of Insurance to file a complaint on the National Union Fire - Insurance Co. out of New York . (After doing some research online, this seems to be the name of the company connected to the withdrawals)1-800-252-3439

    3) Contact the Office of Consumer Credit to file a complaint on Wells Fargo Bank. They may refer you to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency because Wells Fargo is a federally chartered bank.1-800-538-1579

Additionally, we were told that not only is the insurance company criminally negligent, but the bank is as well.

Having reported the "Unauthorized Charges" to Wells Fargo on 17 December 2009. We have received back 3 charges totaling $75.80. The additional $349.75 plus has "not been determined to be unauthorized" by Wells Fargo and is still under investigation as of 10 January 2010.

I smell a Class Action.... sign me up!

I use to work for AIG. What u guys dont understand is the banks work along with AIG( AIU, NUFIC). Your acct info is given to us from Wellsfargo (discover, bank of america, amex, various mortgage companies). I always believed the banks are targeting their customers. They look for people with low balances because when we try to take a payment and the money isnt their then they get the over draft fees. They also target those who dont pay attention to their transactions. I believe it is fraud. I do know if u call and speak with a supervisor and say you are getting a lawyer they will give you a full refund. AIG and wellsfargo are crooks.

I also had people tell me we were deducting money out of accts they dont use. Again this benefits wellsfargo. We dont have ur actual acct and routing number. We would charge wf and they charge u. Ive pulled up names and see that some customers may have up to 10 accident policies. Try to make a claim all the claim departments do is deny claims.  People need to read fine print when u get an acct with wellsfargo it says they will share ur info with other companies.

File a complaint with your state's insurance department. they will contact the company and your cousin will probably get his money back.  say that he is ill and never agreed to it.  if he never got a policy, tell them that too.

The man informed me it was an insurance policy,I had purchased.  I said I remember someone calling me on the phone about an insurance, But I said NO I didn't want it.  The man said he would cancell as of today, but I would have to write the Corp. office, about a refund. I will wite the Corp. office and demand a refund, WellsFargo will hear from me also. to file a complaint about this charge. I will post results if and when I get it.
