I don't know what the hell is wrong with you people, I have this insurance and jsut got paid over 5000 dollars last month for being in the hospital a couple of days. You all seem to be too stupid to realize how the insurance works, maybe you should learn about it before being idiots and posting crap like this.

Wells Fargo is actually a marketing partner of National Union, sometimes the marketing department fails to tell every single employee of EVERY marketing partner that they have. It is possible that not all of the employees are aware of the companies marketing allies. Do you really think that teller services or personal bankers in any bank are aware of every branch of business that their bank operates?

If you guys have a memory problem and dont believe you "authorized" these policies then just write the corporate office they'd be more than happy to send you an actual voice recording of these "fraudulent" charges so have fun being proven wrong

That has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Gratz on being so stupid, I didn't think it was possible, truly an accomplishment.

No legitimate compnay will ask for even your name or address? Really? So if I buy something online I shouldn't give them information on my address or name? How would I get the information? If I bought this insurance and wanted to see the paperwork, I shouldn't give them my address? HOW THE [***] WOULD I GET THE INFORMATION OR PRODUCT I REQUESTED IF I DID'NT GIVE THEM MY NAME AND ADDRESS!

If that is truly the case, then why in the several pages of stuff here has no one siad that they sent in a letter to the "Sales Dispute" office and got notification that they did indeed not authroize it? If you don't believe me, look at these posts, no one has said they heard back that they were right, its because they were wrong.

Not only do I sell these policies, but i carry one. And it actually pays me more money each year, over $100 beyond the cost of the policy. HOW IS THAT NOT A GREAT DEAL. and yes the DOB is to verify you are within the eligible ages and no SSN is asked for, or any bank information. and if you must know this is NO SCAM. our partners include wells fargo, wachovia, bank of america, us bank, citibank! and those are only to name a few. if your going to dis something do your research first!

I work in customer service for this company and i had a call just last week where a customer called in because he read this message board and was pissed becuase he said he wouldn't receive a copy of the phone call. However, I was blessed enough to call him back this week to let him know his record of enrollment was pulled and the copy of the phone call was on its way. DON'T BE A GRUMPY F'IN CUSTOMER BECAUSE U REALLY AUTHORIZED THE POLICY AND NOW YOU JUST CANT GET YOUR MONEY BACK! and not only that I had a transfer to claims where a customer took out over $800,000 with his accident policy. Maybe we should let him get on this message board and see what he thinks about the policy...just a thought

These calls are coming from a 'marketing firm' hired by Wells Fargo Bank.  I had to take my mother to the nearest branch and inform THEM of their sleezy business practices.  They did some investigating while we waited there, found out that it was Wells Fargo Bank that was doing the soliciting and then we asked that all charges be reversed.  My father NEVER requested any insurance from the caller, but the supposedly take a 'verbal' o.k. to start deducting from your account each month for this 'policy' in which my folks NEVER received any information.  Someone needs to get to the CEO of Wells Fargo in San Francisco and enlighten him/her of this type of sleezzzz....preying on the elderly (my folks had their account with WFB since 1965) how shameful a practice!!!

So sad that you have to make a living preying on the elderly....so sad that Wells Fargo Bank and any other financial institution would hire people to solicit 'insurance' policies knowing that these folks are elderly or have 'solid' banking accounts....very sad.....

My mother-in-law had a stroke and we had to move her with us in another state. We got her banking info and tried to straighten things out. She has been confused for awhile but being over 3,000 miles away we didn't realize how bad. we had to change banks as Well Fargo isn't in our state. I had called all of the automatic withdrawls that were set up and cancelled them. This one HPP INSURANCE told me no problem and that she would not be charged anymore and her policy was cancelled. Now after 4 months we find out that they have been charging an account that was supposed to be closed at Well Fargo. They have now gone ahead and screwed a senior citizen that can't handle alot of stress in her life & doesn't have alot of money to give to these blood suckers when she is not to blame here at all! I am sickened that there are people out there taking advantage of our elderly. They talk them into this stuff and don't send them anything on it. She kept every paper she got and I went through them all and there is not 1pc of paper with any info on this company. And Shame on Wells Fargo for taking people who are more prone to scams due to confusion and fear and throwing them to the wolves!!  She had 3 companies on there that were taking out of her account and her measily $900/month sent to her by Wells Fargo! How dare they do this in the name of profit?!?! And don't even give that crap that they are trying to help anyone. This isn't help this is financially raping our seniors!

I received a call from the number 215-383-5568 stating that they were from Wachovia Bank. The caller proceded to tell me that she needed to let me know about the new isurance that I must enroll in to keep my checking accnt open.  She knew my name, address, DOB, and checking accnt number.  She asked to verify my information and then transfered me to a supervisor.  The supervisor started telling me about accidental life insurance .  When I clearly stated that I allready have health insurance and was not interested in any other insurance she said " this will not forfeit your current insurance this is to cover you in case of hospitalization for up to one million dollars in coverage , do you understand?" I said yes but I do NOT want to enroll in anything unless I have a chance to review the materials first . She replied "you must enroll to review the program do you understand?". Again I said yes but I do NOT want to enroll in anything she replies you are allready enrolled. Can you unenroll me ? I said "NO you have to call this number 1-800-572-5848". So I did and they told me that they don't have me in their system and the didn't know how long it would take update their system.  They stated well just wait for the policy to come in the mail and then review the materials. I said either way I don't want the program .  She said call back in 60 days when we start charging your checking account 17.95 a month for the insurance and hung up. So I had no choice but to call my bank and close my accnt, set up a new accnt number , and wait for my new card in the mail.......... SO PLEASE EVERYBODY WATCH OUT FOR THESE NUMBERS ITS A SERIOUS FRAUD ISSUE.

Started to work with the number given in your post. Computer immediately asked for social security number. I guess they need that to get to account numbers, etc.? Don't like giving out that info without pretty solid trust. In your opinion, is this the only way to get these people to stop calling?
