They are slick. There is an FMS arm of federal government that does do federal debt collection (like student loans) and it comes up first if you just google FMS, and its web address is www.fms.treas.GOV   But if you google the phone number on your caller ID and search the list, you will see FMS Incorporated, a collection agency, and it's webpage is www.fms-collect.COM. The phone number belongs to them.

I get the message "press 1 to speak to a representative" then it hangs up. What irks me is that when I call them back or do get someone on the phone and ask to remove my number - not the right person etc. they expect me to give them my social security number, birthdate city and state! They are crazy if they think I'm gonna give out my info - especially over the phone. My identity was stolen 11 years ago and have been dealing with these debt collectors ever since. I never receive a letter first detailing the debt and the ones I have gotten are for debts from 2007. I am on social security and have been since 2003. How is it others can get credit using my info but I can't even get housing! Why doesn't my felony record show up when others ask for credit. In the past 5 years someone has purchased a house, bought a car, went  to University and defaulted on a bank account. All in a state I've never even been to much less  lived there! Reporting it to the state or police does no good. You just get a letter saying they can't make them stop since its debt collection - even though the identity theft was reported at the time it occurred and  is posted on my credit report. These people need to check their info before they start harrassing others. I get a minimum of 15 calls per day from various debt collectors as well as late hour /early morning calls.

800-580-7611 keeps calling my cell phone.  I usually don't pick up unless I know who it is, especially with an 800#.  I figure if it is legitimate and important they will leave a message and I can call them back at my own convenience.  They never leave a message.

They keep calling my cell phone but I don't anwser calls I do not know. They NEVER leave a message so it must not be that important. I googled the number and its a collection agency but I pay all my bills so maybe they have wrong number. I just downloaded a app call Mr. Number on my cell phone and block all their calls. So if they call it goes straight to voicemail or there is a option to pick up and hung up on them. Gotta love these apps!

This number calls me 2 to 4 times a day and it's only a recording that never connects to a person.  I've tried staying on the line to advise them to remove me from their list but no one ever answers. The recording states it is an important call from FMS and to press one to be connected. Press one and nothing.  Please stop them from calling!  Thanks for any help!

We've been getting messages from this number from FMS for over a week now.  Requesting that we push '1' to speak to a rep.  I finally pushed '1' just a few minutes ago in order to tell this company to stop calling our number and the call just disconnected.

Just curious does anyone now how you can get the actual name and address of the company calling?  When they called my number it was for someone else and I asked what company there were with all they would tell me was an "assets management company SMS"  I want actual name and address and can not locate thru reverse number search.  ANY help on getting actual name and address?
