- Annoyed replies to AnnoyedJust to add, when she tried to contact them to stop the payments, she couldn't contact them. No one answered the phone or returned the messages she left. Finally after a week or so, they answered her email and agreed to stop the monthly payments.
- PSThis number called me twice today, the second time after 9pm.
Twice yesterday and off and on for a week etc.

- Hans replies to DianaI signed up and paid $25-$35 monthly to the organizations CALPIRG, Environment California, and Human Rights Campaign. When one of my credit cards expired, after I had paid several hundred dollars to each, I decided to support other organizations instead and just let my "membership" lapse. I've been bombarded with calls from this and similiar numbers, typically half a dozen every night. These people just want your cash and are very aggressive about it. I am posting this to warn others against signing up for monthly memberships to these charities.
- SCRHGet a call every night around 9:30 p.m. - no message. Annoying. Message when I called says, "Fund for Public Interest (blah, blah, blah), if you would pefer NOT to be contacted, press 1. I added my number. We'll see if that works.
- SMAThey have called me constantly for the past month, also late at night. The one time I didn't have Caller Block on, I answered and could tell it was a solicitation. "I don't give money over the phone." Hung up. They persist nonetheless.
- jifor the last three weeks or so I've got calls frequently (3+) daily from 9 to 9. i never have answered after reading the comments on this website. they never leave messages.

- doc| 1 replyThis is a grass roots organization that you took interest in. They get their numbers the honest and hard working way. You at some point took interest in one of the organizations they call for, most likely spoke to one of their canvassers. It is possible they have the wrong number, and it is true that if you don't answer your phone they don't leave messages and they call back at a later date. The reason for that is they have a lot of people to contact that support their work. It is a great cause and sometimes to get good things done you have to do things that not everyone is comfortable with. If you are someone who is not comfortable with being called there is an easy fix, just answer your phone and say please take me off your list. I would bet though, if you took the time to have the conversation with the people calling you, you would like the work they are doing. However even if you don't, it's just a phone call, it's not the end of the world.
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- nadia replies to RExactly the same for me. If you want me to answer my phone next time, you might want to try leaving a message!! seriously.
- ws1 replies to docI answered and asked to be taken off their list and the calls stopped for a month or 2. Now they are back every day and not leaving any messages. I don't blame the employees, but this organization is using disrespectful marketing tactics and because of this they will never get another dime from me. I encourage people to not contribute to this company even if they are for a good cause until they rework their marketing strategy so that is is respectful of their contributors. Something as simple as having a real person leave a message would make a big difference in my likelihood to contribute again.
- LilyContinuous calls several times a day-- started months ago, then stopped. Now has started calling again-- it's a nuisance and I wish whoever it is would stop bothering me.

- soysauce replies to Dianamy debit/credit card information changed and because of that, they haven't been able to charge it $10 a month for Environment Florida. They've been calling for over two months now everyday and it never stops. Even when i don't want to donate, they still insist. Seems like they can't hear NO. I hate it that they don't even leave a message. Not leaving a message in the first place makes me not want to help their cause.
- Former tele-marketer replies to JohnLActually they can only take your number off of a call list if they get in contact with someone who asks to be removed. Also it is not likely that the computer connecting the call assigns the same tele-marketer to your line for each call. Even if it did that person would not remember you since they will be connected to over a hundred calls per shift. There is no paperwork to remind them of who you are or how many times you have been called. Just your name on a screen with a script for them to read.
So my advice is that if there is a tele-marketer constantly calling you answer the phone and say "put me o your do not call list". You must say that exact phrase, some telemarketing companies are really strict and will not let their employees put anyone on the do not call list unless they say say the phrase exactly. And unless you are getting called by debt collectors the actually people on the phone are pretty benign. There is no need to yell and scream at them. - CBFOne call received today from "Unavailable".
